Didn’t Last Long

Already gone bad in Feb 2022 after having it since July 2020. Didn’t purchase an extended warranty so GE cannot even help service it since it’s out of the 1yr manufacture warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nothing but problems with quality and operation

Interior doors brake all of the sliding mechanisms are broke had to call repair out once and now it is not getting cool again

If you are sure the cooling has been properly set up, you may also want to make sure the door gaskets are sealing properly and the refrigerator contains a reasonable food load to help maintain the temperature. Hi there, and thanks for letting us know about your experience with this model. We sincerely hate to hear you are dissatisfied with the refrigerator, and have had trouble with the ice maker locking and the crispers freezing your items. We know how inconvenient that must be, and we’d like to assist.
The ice maker can become locked from the control panel when you press the Lock option for 3 seconds – this locks the ice and water dispenser and all temperature and feature buttons, but you can also use that to unlock those functions. The ice maker is also discussed in detail on page 23 of the Use and Care Manual, if that might be useful for you: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60792-3.pdf&_ga=2.202159573.537145943.1644244100-1532666414.1643037112 .
Regarding the trouble you’ve had with items freezing in the crisper, if you are referring to the Temperature Controlled Drawer, that does have adjustable settings – you can adjust to a warmer setting if your items are freezing. We do recommend keeping the drawer at least half full to help maintain an even temperature. Further information about that drawer is available on page 20 of the manual. We also have troubleshooting tips for the overall refrigerator on page 46.

We like it. It looks great and will be low maintenance. Downside is it is a little louder than we expected and is slower to come back down to temp.

Newer refrigerators sound different from older refrigerators, as modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. It may take up to 24 hours for a set temperature change to regulate. This estimate can be affected when the doors are opened frequently or when a large amount of food is added to the refrigerator. For optimal temperature performance, avoid placing food items directly at the air flow vent of the refrigerator air tower and thus blocking the air flow.

I love my fridge, is well laid out and very spacious. The water and ice control panel are have child lock and plenty of room to fit a big water bottle.

The installers from Warner Stellians were amazing. In and Out and told us what to expect in the next 24 hours. Ice is keeping up with our needs and water is cold. I would like the water choices to. Ack lit at night so I knew what I was pushing a/o the kitchen light on. The long drawer in the fridge is kind of awkward because both doors need to open to access and the milk is a tight fit in the door. Nothing we didn’t know beforehand though. Still loving it.

Quality build. Looks nice, sturdy parts (doesn't feel like it'll break at the slightest touch). Would purchase another or similar one if the need arises in the future (for the kids in their apartment, parents old unit failing, etc.)
