Great appliance

The refrigerator keeps items cold. So far the vegetables haven't "dried out ".
The one item I think needs improvement is , the selector for ice, water is hard to see at night until you make the selection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the same model refrigerator I purchased 7 years. The last refrigerator went out and instead of repairing it, I got a new one. I love this refrigerator but next time I will get the warranty.

Design issues; expensive water filter

The RPWFE filter is ridiculously expensive without good cause. The RFID(?) chip on the filter has a 6 month countdown (I ran my own tests), even if the filter is seldom used. A decent design might compare input water pressure to output water pressure, and complain only when the filter needs replacing.
Perhaps GE needs a better design team. It seems obvious to me to design produce drawers so that they can be pulled out fully when their respective doors are open, but that's not the case here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Basic but big

Good basic refrigerator without all the electronic and computer stuff we we not interested in getting. Good amount of storage for standard width refrigerator and French doors. Had to remove the doors to get it into the 30 year old kitchen.
