Slate is great!

Works well and looks nice! Only problem is the handles scratch easy and we had a problem with the freezer fan making a horrible noise for about a week. Called GE and they sent a tech out and fixed the problem, which was ice buildup around the fan housing. Other than that, we are very happy with our purchase!

Within 2 months of installation the ice maker stopped working. I couldn't get ice or water. The seller had to come in and wrap the line between the water and icemaker because it was freezing up. It was a known defect. Since then my freezer is frosting up. This was not a good purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved it until it frosted over multiple times & ruined our hard wood floors. Less than 3 years old & no longer operable. We will never again purchase GE appliances.
