MIMI'S NEW FRIG

We built our home 21 years ago, at that time purchased all Kenmore appliances. I am hoping these last as long as my Kenmores. I like the freezer on the bottom much better than My frig before which was a side by side. I got the slate color....which so far seems easy to keep clean.

Love the color and finish

The water dispenser after using the water feature leaks drops of water. I have to keep a piece of paper towel underneath the spout. It also has frost around the outside of the gasket on the ice maker. I don't know how to correct these problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

THIS APPLIANCE IS GREAT!! REFRIGERATOR SECTION IS HUGE... FREEZER ARE IS WONDERFUL AND HAS A LOT OF SPACE. THE LIGHT IN THE WATER/ICE DOOR AREA IS REALLY COOL!

Spacious, Sleek, Quiet

This is by far my favorite refrigerator/freezer combo that I have ever owned. Just before the mandatory coronavirus quarantine of my area, I packed several weeks' worth of food into the freezer and put what we would use right away in the refrigerator. I was set for over a month before I had to go back to the grocery store. I love having two separate crisper drawers so that you can set one side for fruits and one for veggies and keep them separate. I also really like the upper drawer and movable dividers in the bottom freezer section, allowing for plenty of organization of all that space. What really sold me on this unit though, was the "Twin Chill" system, keeping the cold air in the freezer separate from the cool air in the refrigerator, making the whole unit so much more efficient. There are NO strange cold spots in the refrigerator where things can get icy, and there are no strange warm spots in the freezer where things can halfway defrost and get the ice buildup on the package. My foods come out just as perfect as the day I bought them. I read many reviews online for various brands and models of freezer/refrigerators before I made this purchase, and there was no contest between the GE models and other brands for me. So far, this unit has lived up to all my expectations and then some. I am convinced that I could not have been this satisfied with any other product!

Beautiful appliance with an incredible amount of storage space in the fridge and freezer !
This appliance runs quietly and efficiently just like our last GE fridge did for over 16 years.
My wife and I are enjoying it very much,were looking forward to many years of service in the future .

Solid fridge

We loved the look of the matte black finish, but didn't like the idea of a coated stainless in case of scratches and while we were hesitant on going with a new to market finish, we don't regret it at all. This fridge looks great and I haven't had to fight with dirty fingerprints despite having a toddler in the house. It's also quite spacious and probably even a bit overkill for a family of 3. The only reason why I wouldn't give 5 stars is that the ice kind of shoots out all over, so you need to hold a cup up close or risk having ice shards get on the floor.

Great Upgrade

For years we have had a side-by-side which I never really cared for. This was an upgrade for us and I couldn't be happier. I love the accessibility of the freezer and the ample space it provides. I especially love the roominess of the refrigerator. I finally can see everything at once and can keep it organized. Also worthy to note is that the filtration system for the ice actually works. We have terrible water (even filtered!) but this does a great job of filtering out the taste. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Very spacious interior

I was just going in to by a new refrigerator an stumbled across this GE. I like the large freezer at the bottom lots of room and I can fit twice as much food in there so I can stock up! Surprise when the door is left open to long there is a chime that goes off and the program on the door to lock the water and ice is really nice when litte people push to many buttons, no cleaning water off the floor from little kids playing. Nice!
