Poor quality!!

Scratches easily. No kick plate so you see the very bottom of the fridge. Water from dispenser is only cold with the first glass then you have to wait for the water to be cold again. Bolt from door scratches the top of the freezer drawer when opening.

Large Fridge, weird Ice maker

We love the large fridge section and pullout freezer door. Lots of food with various container sizes fits in here. The lines are sleek and the slate color is perfect. The ice maker is a bit odd. Small bits of ice (shavings) fly out every time we use it, no matter the size cup or where we hold it in relation to the ice dispenser. We are constantly wiping water off of the floor.

Too noisy

Two days after installing I was in rear of condo and heard strange humming. The pitch of the condenser was such that it penetrated the entire condo. It was unacceptable for a kitchen that was open to the living room. The seller’s service tech said it seemed normal, but the unit in their showroom was much different. Thankfully, it was returned full credit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Fridge but missing some features

This fridge is big and has plenty of storage. But there are definitely some disappointments. The bottom of the dispenser area is flat with no where for spillage to be stored. Every other fridge I have ever seen the bottom has channels to capture water. There is no butter dish area. And finally this fridge does not display the actual temp. My smaller cheaper side by side GE fridge has all of these features. At this price, these should be included. Guess accounting got involved.

No ice

After only 6 days the ice maker has quit producing ice. I can still get water out of their but no ice.

When you get crushed ice, it sprays all over the place. Even it you put the container directly under and right up against the ice dispenser, the ice sprays all over. The big freezer door on the bottom apparently does not always close tightly even if you push it shut tightly. There is a big draw in the freezer compartment that only goes in all the way if you push it hard at the end. There is some hump it has to go over to close completely and I think that may be the problem closing the big freezer drawer. If they are not perfect, ice builds up in places inside the freezer. I would not buy this refrigerator again. Also, every finger print shows on the stainless steel and you cannot wipe them off with a soft cloth. You literally have to buy the stainless steel cleaner and use that for every finger print. I do not like this unit. I think GE has gone down hill since GE sold off the appliance division. GE no longer owns GE appliances.

The display panel to choose water, ice, etc., does not light & is extremely difficult to see what you're choosing. I'm having to memorize the position of each item. Also, the ice maker seems to stick quite often.
