Ice maker Can’t Keep Up

The inside of the fridge is great. But the lack of the ice maker being able to keep up with a family of four who is only home for 4-6 waking hours a day is ridiculous. Very disappointed. Should have went with the model from another company that had proven itself to us before we moved. Only went with this to match other appliances left by previous home owners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like the double doors most of the time. Not sure why need to open both doors to access the bottom drawer

Beautiful slate color!

I love this fridge! It's got so much room and I love the slate color! It doesn't show finger prints and I can put magnets on the front!

Great Space, But Noisy

This unit was purchased to replace a competitor's model, which experience the expected 5-7 year compressor failure they are famous for. This unit offers great interior space, lighting is good, and even though there's an icemaker on the door, GE was still able to provide on-door storage for smaller containers/jars.
The unit looks very good. It cooled off in a reasonable amount of time, but after about 2 weeks of service, we noticed that the compressor has gotten significantly louder than when we first plugged it in. Before purchasing this unit, I had read several complaints that this fridge is fairly loud, but after the noise that we had lived with from the old unit that we replaced with this one, I didn't give it much thought. I'm at the point where I'm likely to call GE and have them send a tech out to make sure it's operating correctly and not losing charge from a manufacturing defect.
If it weren't for the noise of this unit, we would absolutely love it, but being that it's a Profile unit, I'm a little disappointed that this is even an issue.

Nice Refrigerator!!!

Very Nice refrigerator!! I have had this thing for 5 months and no issues. Keeps the food at the correct temperature, the freezer at the correct temperature. I order the additional ice maker for the freezer section and it was very easy to install. Need lots of ice out here in the desert. The LG refrigerator that this one replaced only lasted a year, it died when the warranty expired. This unit is built solid!
