not as big as I thought

I love my fridge and having a freezer that I can fit a pizza in is fantastic!! The water on the door is convenient however the ice is very messy. You have to hold your cup up to cover the ice shoot or you may end up with ice or pieces of ice all over the floor. With the shelves like they come not many tall items fit. I am surprised how little room I have for condiments. Not much room on the door since the ice is there.
The last appliances we purchased was in 2002. Our last fridge was 1998!!

Love my new GE refrigerator❤️. My old one was 25+ years old and still running but was afraid it might conk out at any time. Love how much room I have and the LD lighting is wonderful. If this one lasts as long as my old one I'll be ecstatic!

I love our refry. I was about to buy a water filter for my house, but we needed to replace the refrigerator at home too. I found this product had all the features we needed including the ice maker, water filter, and a roomy freezer. This appliance exceeded our needs and made our kitchen more beautiful!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fabulous change

Unfortunately I wrote a review 48 hours after delivery and wasn't impressed with how much it ran. I don't think I'd given it enough time to acclimatize. It's not noisy and is now maintaining the correct temperature - proven by my indoor/outdoor digital thermometer. The French door model was a big change for us from a side-by-side, but I absolutely love it. Never again will I have a frozen food item slide out and drop onto my foot! There are lights everywhere and there are no dark corners. It's easy to adjust the shelves to fit our food items. I ordered the dairy shelf and tip-out freezer door basket, plus a Whirlpool egg tray (sorry GE) and the refrigerator is now configured to our needs. The tip-out freezer basket holds small quantities of herbs and keeps them from getting lost and was a cinch to install. I was worried the refrigerator would stick out in the room too far, but because the side is two colors, it gives the illusion of not being bigger. Most of all, I love the slate finish. It goes so well with EVERYTHING in my kitchen, especially the granite coutertops. First time in my life I've bought all four pieces from one manufacturer. Absolutely loving everything.
