Great refrigerator

This is a great looking refrigerator. The lighting inside makes it easy to find your groceries and the storage area is great. The bottom freezer drawers make it easy to store and find your food. The only 3 things I did not like about this refrigerator is that it is loud, the ice maker is small and when cleaning it, if you have a spill on the shelf, there is no way to clean between the glass. I am also concerned about the finish on the outside of the refrigerator because we already have a nick on one of our handles. (It is only 5-6 months old). We have the dark stainless finish (which is beautiful). We are overall pleased but I would not buy it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great quality with lots of food storage

We purchased this refrigerator to replace a competitor's unit that was only 6 years old that had an apparent design flaw that caused ice build up behind the back panel of the main compartment which resulted in subsequent excessive fan noise. After having to totally defrost the unit several times in one year, we decided to switch to the GE brand because they don't appear to have this issue.
We rarely use an ice maker but use the chilled water feature regularly and so this model that only had one ice maker (in the door) is perfect. The way the ice maker is completely enclosed in the left door panel is brilliant and frees up space to the point where we are finally at the point where we can go shopping and buy the produce and perishable groceries we want and need without having to worry about having enough space for them in the refrigerator. Even though the ice maker takes up some space in the main compartment, there are still several useful trays on that door that are just the right size for most condiment containers. So this is the best of both worlds.
The exterior controls for the unit at the ice and water dispenser and the other functions are user friendly. For the previous unit we owned, I found myself pulling out the users manual often to change functions but with this unit, it is much easier to get operate the many features of this appliance.
The LED lighting in the interior is very bright although it takes a second for the lamps to fully light up when you open the door.
We have only had the unit for a few months but it appears that our produce stays fresher longer than the previous unit. But that might have something to do with the frequent defrosting issues inherent with that unit.
Because we didn't opt to get the second ice maker in the freezer compartment, we now have plenty of storage for frozen foods.
All and all, we love this appliance.
Just a couple of minor suggestions for design improvements:
The first is with the fruit and vegetable drawers. You can easily open the left drawer by only opening the left French door (the same door that has the ice and water dispenser). However, you have to open both French doors to open the drawer on the right. We put the items that we access the most in the left drawer and so this is not a big issue.
Another minor issue is that after you fill a glass of chilled water, there is a drip or two that lands on the flat white plastic panel below and occasionally, one will run down the face of the lower freezer drawer front.
We also notice that the unit makes a little more noise than the previous unit but at least I am confident that I won't have to deal with the defrosting issues again.

Tons of space for our big family!!!

When we got this refrigerator it was a lot bigger than we thought. We were to move our items from our other refrigerator and still have room left over. The ease of the water dispensers awesome as it able to handle pitchers etc. I love the warning signal if open too long. Overall very happy.
