raplacement refrigerator

this was a 4th refrigerator that GE delivered to my home this is the upgrade they gave me for the inconvenience of three others being damaged. This refrigerator does run very quiet as I have a open concept home .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A little noisey

We replaced a 7 year old GE profile fridge that is similar to this. We were hesitant of buying GE again because of our experience with what we replaced. But after talking to multiple appliance stores, they assured me this was the right choice based on what we were looking for.
We've only had the refrigerator for 2 weeks now. Our initial impression is it will be fine for what we need. The only real issue we have so far is how noticeably louder it is compared to our previous model. If we don't have the issues we had on our last model I can live with the noise as it's not unbearable but we do wish it would be a quieter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Specs are incorrect

The width of this product is listed as 35 3/4, it is actually 36 3/4. We had to remove the end caps from the back to squeeze it into a 36 inch space.

In use 3 weeks so far. Great look, very quiet. Ice and water from door are cleen and higher quality than tap water (as per water test). No drain on door if ice misses glass or water spills.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No Ice

We have a brand new refrigerator, and it has not ever produced ice. The water dispenser is working fine. Since all of the troubleshooting recommendations in the manual were for issues that would affect the water and ice, the dealer we bought the refrigerator from suggested that we put in a service call. The repairman came out, and said that the only thing he knew it could be was "ice blocking the condenser line," though he agreed that this is unlikely, since we've never had any ice. He unplugged the unit, we moved all of our food out of it, and now we're waiting 48 hours to give it time to thaw if there is any ice in the line. Then we have to plug it back in and wait 12 hours to see if it starts producing ice. If it does not, we have to put in a new service call, and we'll likely have to wait several days/weeks for them to provide a new unit. Not a good first impression.

Missing A Couple of Things...

Our frig was just installed today, replacing a hated side-by-side we got with our house. I got this model because it appeared to be similar to a french door we bought for our last house and adored. I'm not so much missing the butter dish (hard to clean), but miss the split collapsing shelf we had in our last one (might not have ordered the exact replica of our last model, but wish I could buy one of these shelves as an accessory), but the water dispenser tray is going to be a problem - this water dispenser drips more than others we've had, and the tray is very shallow. I wish a different tray was available as an accessory - even our hated side-by-side had a tray with deep grooves to handle a decent amount of overspill.
