We purchased this new refrigerator to replace one in the house we bought this year. The old refrigerator was a GE side by side and was 11 years old. Our daughter and son-in-law purchased all new GE appliances for their new house in 2014 and were very happy with them. We also have been very pleased with our new GE refrigerator and would recommend it to others.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought this for a number of reasons (SOLID handles, not flimsy or moveable like others, simple yet intuitive controls, HUGE freezer with drawer, WHISPER QUIET compressor, independent door operation) and couldn't be more pleased.

Had this fridge for a few months. Got the extended warranty, highly recommend getting. Repair man has been out twice to fix the ice maker freezing into one solid piece of ice. Still not fixed. Showed him the probable cause. Ice chute flap opens when you open the freezer door. He called a service tech and they told him that was normal and wouldn’t cause the ice to melt and refreeze. They directed him to pour water into chute to see if it leaked. It did. So replaced flap, flap motor, and spring. It still freezes. Going to try and return for a refund. I’m sticking with my old dinosaur refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had our new GE refrigerator about a month now and are enjoying all of its new features. We hope that our new GE will perform as well as our last GE, that provided us 21+ years of service with 0 repairs ... amazing!

Just got delivery. So far, so good, although the right to hinge cover was broken and did not have freezer shelf. After 30 minutes on and off hold, finally got the cover ordered, but found out the shelf was "optional".

I am so happy with my new refrigerator for so many reasons! Mostly, I love being able to see what I have in the refrigerator and still have room for more! I love the height and the freezer is spacious. So glad we purchased it!
