After all these years of making refrigerators you would think GE could produce a quiet ice maker. Ours scares the dogs every time it drops ice and then it takes FOREVER to get one glass of crushed ice. but the other features are nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ive had this fridge for two months and i swear this fridges runs continously and its noisey my family room is next to kitchen and i cant hear tv its that loud

Send back another brand of refrigerator due to poor quality.
Purchased the GE and we love every thing about it, the inside lighting, the accessability of getting to items inside, the ice maker is great.
