Mine is not balanced, so it wobbles. The base and cup has gotten stuck together a few times. It unscrewed while blending a few times. It takes a long time to blend smoothies. Does not make it smooth, still has ice chunks left. It even feels like cheap material. I used to love Cuisinart appliances, but this has me wondering what happened to them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First blender, so still learning what I can and cannot do. I have not used to mix many root vegetables that may provide healthier benefits, but I am starting to better understand how to use the blender. I mainly use the single serving to mix protein and fruit smoothies and a guidebook to better understand how you can make the smoothie healthier. Initially I was having issues with larger frozen fruit such as strawberries and larger chunks of cantaloupe, but now that I know how to get them broken down using the pulse selection to break down before blending.

It’s a small blender but don’t let that fool you! It’s powerful! I make my husband smoothies every morning and use mostly frozen fruit. It chops through everything and blends it smooth. I’m so impressed with this blender. I’m glad we chose this over other options.

The blending jar is to small it it was bigger id give it a better rating, but the fact they don’t even offer a larger blending jar is a deal breaker.

When my son came home from the service he bought bags of fruit for smoothies. The old blender just wasn't his preference for those smoothies so I chose the Cuisinart because it had travel cups. It's more compact so I can keep the unit on my counter and to my delight I'm really enjoying making smoothies to start my day!
