Would probably pass next time

Freezer space is smaller that we expected, the top shelf of the freezer has lttle space due to the ice maker and the drop down shelf in the fridge section has more than once dropped down and the contents have crashed when someone has accidentaly knocked the edge of the shelf.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very loud. Slow in making ice. Light blocks space for tall items. Water filter needs to be changed in less than four months.

Disappointed

I just moved away from a house with an awesome GE Profile fridge, and unfortunately that refrigerator would not fit into our new place. I understand that there are limited options in counter depth but I think GE can do better than this -- especially for the price. Poor use of space for the size. The traditional/non-LED lighting is dated and wastes more space. The freezer holds nothing, ice maker slow and is the size of a planet. Does keep food appropriately cool and the exterior is nice.

Terrible Ice maker
on June 3, 2015

The freezer on this unit is extremely poorly arranged. Not only does the ice maker take up a whole lot of space, but it also does not work very well. It takes about 2 minutes (no joke) to fill one large tumbler with ice. There is a lot of excess plastic spacing around the ice maker that takes up a lot of room in the freezer. Cubic feet measurements are missleading. With the same cubic feet in our last freezer we could store much more food. The refrigerator also has a lot of wasted space from plastic on the top shelf and therefore you can't stor a lot of tall items in the refrigerator part.

A lot of unusable space-Needs improvement
on July 1, 2015

There is a lot of unusable space because of the design. The shelves in the refrigerator have plastic ridges that make part of the shelf hard to use. The top shelf has a large water filter and light that make it difficult to fit items. The shelf that is split in half will sometimes split when you don't want it to and food falls. The bottom drawer is ridiculously small. The freezer has similar problems: the light & ice maker take up way too much space. The drawers are small and fall out if you pull a little to far. The top shed & bottom drawer are so small they are almost useless.

Concerned about the interior space and organizatio
on December 2, 2015

This is the latest in many GE refrigerators I owned and been very happy with the performance, capacity and ease of use. But this model seems incredibly short on interior storage space due to so many intrusions on the space for lighting, shelf supports, and venting. I cannot store as many items, or the items in an organized fastion due to this intrusion into the space. I question how the cubic storage space is actually measured. As far as cooling, on the door ice/water, and looks of unit it is very good. Just wish I would store more, and more efficiently. I would recommend with reservations.

This refrigerator is space friendly.

This refrigerator is flush with the cabinets but taller so that we do not lose storage space inside. I love the replaceable water filter system. The enlarged ice and water dispenser is fabulous.
