Not run properly, Freezer ices up, temps fluxuate

Poor Quality

We just moved into our new home with the GE Model PZS23KSEBFS refrigerator. The water dispenser worked for about a week. Then no water and a hissing sound coming from inside the refrigerator section. Then we saw water running over the floor. We opened the refrigerator section and removed the bins to see where the water was coming from. When the water dispenser was activated the water started spraying out of the plastic water tank assembly (Part No WR17X11440) that holds the chilled water. This should not happen. The part is defective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cleaning issues and spacing

The cleaning is very hard especially in the freezer because of the spacing. Freezer side is too small

Not GE’s best work

This unit has been one of my biggest disappointments from GE. The refrigeration and freezer portion are acceptable and fit our needs to accommodate my wife’s accessibility needs. She’s been in a wheelchair since she was 15 and we require a side by side. The ice maker in this unit is utter garbage and began breaking after 14 months. The design flaws were noted in week one of ownership, but what can you do? We’re just a family of 2. It’s just me and my wife. I wish I had filled out this review earlier in case it helps someone else make a decision. I came across the review option looking for a number to call to order another tray. It will probably cost more than a refrigerator.
