Well built fridge

I was looking for a counter depth fridge that supplied a sufficient amount of ice on a regular basis. This fridge fit the bill. It is slightly noisy, but that could be due to the ice machine making ice.

Mixed bag

Bought this about a month ago - the only model that would accommodate the available space. I'm not used to a side by side refrigerator. Problems: the icemaker needs a lot of attention to keep it patent.; challenge organizing smaller shelves; produce drawer sticks and is hard to use. On the plus side, it's nice to have exterior water and ice when it works, and the interior lighting is nice and bright.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Profile Side by Side Counter Depth

This replaced my original Profile Side by Side. It was doing great considering I had it for 18 years. Finally it gave up the " ghost". I was happy with the old one so thought I would stay with the " Tried and true".

This is my second GE Profile Refrigerator and I wouldn't dream of any other product.
I have never experienced a problem with them. My new refrigerator is quiet. I love that it is easy to clean and adjust shelves as needed, especially the top shelf which allows you to slide half back for taller items.

Purchased this refrigerator about a month ago, had it delivered to our home and then we proceeded to set it up, and now enjoy the features as it has everything that we could want in a refrigerator.
The only drawback we had was following the instructions in the owners manual for set up. It's very apparent that whoever wrote the instructions had never set one up before. This took more time than it should have as there are a number of things that are not covered in the manual and also some are very poorly written.

LOUD ice dispenser

This is the 2nd GE Profile we have had. The first one died after 13 years. This new one is nice and meets all our requirements. But the ice maker can't keep up and there are only two adults in the house. Plus the ice dispenser is so loud it can be heard all over the house. When our 2 yr old grandson is visiting and taking a nap we can't get ice from the door because the ice dispensing is so noisy it wakes him up. Wish there was a way to muffle the sound. Otherwise, this refrigerator is working fine.
