Not a good product

This product broke very easily. The door open and close is very loud. Heating noise is very loud too. Expensive to fix when it is broken. Not recommend this model.

Door won't unlatch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first microwave oven I have ever owned, where the latch kit has worn, even given the minimal amount of use,. The door button used to open the door feels very weak and flimsy almost like the spring isn't a heavy enough duty. So we've had to push the button several times and now its at the point where the door barely opens at all. This should not wear out so quickly, poorly designed. Overall very frustrating for the amount of money we paid given the exepected quailty and ultimatlely dissapointed with the results.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

door latch is broken

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used four microwaves so far and this microwave is the least reliable one. I used my first one for 15 years and it never gave me any problem. I had to donate it because I moved. I had my second one for 10 years before the display went out. I had my third one for five years before I sold my house. No problem at all. The fourth one, which is this BOSCH microwave, is giving me problems after 2.5 years of use. I cannot open the door 80% of the time because the latch is nearly broken. It means I cannot close the door for 80% of the time either because of the latch. I have to slam the door several times to be able to close it. I hate BOSCH appliances...... My BOSCH oven was repaired after 2 years of use because of a problem with heating panel. I am scheduling a service now for my BOSCH dishwasher becuase the heating element is defective after 2.5 years of use. Bosch appliances look nice but very unreliable. I have never had to deal with any appliance repair within 3 years of purchase except for BOSCH appliances. Buyers, be aware!

Same defect as other these other reviews

Just to add a datapoint to the lump of lousy reviews, I've got the same defective door latch as everyone else, and I too have to slam the door to (maybe) get it to work. Usually I have to slam it 3-5 times before it works, so I've had enough... getting ready to replace it. Avoid this product at all cost! I'm avoiding all Bosch products from here on out.

Microwave has issue with door

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product came with our home. After about two years of use, it did not work if you didn't shut the door hard enough. It has been challenging to find support and warranty information. It continues to work with this issue, but it is somewhat disappointing that a product would malfunction in this way and not be part of a warranty.
