as a midrange tv, the sony x900f is great. the picture is great, and the additional features like google play and netflix are easily accessible. there is some studder on my nintendo switch, but i think that's a function of playing in 1080p. ps4 pro and xbox one work well in 4k and hdr.

This is a replacement warranty (upgraded) for my 2017 TV. So far I am very happy with it. It's very bright and clear. The google app is very responsive.

After a great deal of research on both oled and led tvs, I opted for the x900F model as a very good choice for a number of reasons. The tv was purported to have very good control in the area of ambient lighting. It does. The tv was reported to have an exceptional picture quality. It certainly does. Additional remotes were available easily and finally, last but not least, the level of customization with the settings menu was extraordinary.

Great TV with a horrible operating system.

Bought this tv in January of 2018. Couldn't be happier with the picture, built quality, and design but what really takes away from the TV and its experience is the operating system. It's horrible. Sony should give out set-top boxes just to compensate for how horrible Android TV really is. Android TV is actually what made me write this review because my TV just prompted me for an update and I couldn't click "Update now" and then "Okay" for roughly 15 minutes because Android TV is that laggy.
To clear up any confusion. Android TV recognizes only every couple of clicks.. or sometimes it's super sensitive. Sometimes, it just doesn't respond. Best thing is that you don't really get to pick. For the top of the line TV - that's really horrible.
Thankfully, there are set top boxes available and I ended up buying one right away just to not deal with the horrible system provided by Android. However, every once in awhile I need to actually use it and that's when I get reminded how atrocious it really is.
I can only recommend this product if you already have a set-top box. If you don't, you will get incredibly frustrated with your experience with this TV.
