This is my first Otterbox. I love the one piece design, finding it easy to use. The only thing that took me some getting used to is the material is slippery. The material over the power & volume buttons is the only part that has a "grip" to it. Lastly I wish it came with dust protector / plugs for the ports on the top. Overall I am happy with this case & love that it's not bulky, fitting in my pocket comfortably.

The previous version of the Symmetry case used a higher quality silicone, the new clear version looks awesome, but I've only owned it for a few weeks or so and the grey silicone has already started yellowing. I own two other otterbox cases with grey silicone and I've had those for almost a year now- they still haven't yellowed at all, just the new one. I also noticed the case creaks a little when on the phone, not a deal-breaker, just slightly annoying. What it boils down to in my opinion is quality, I think otterbox went the cheap route this time when producing a new symmetry case, which is a little disappointing. I might recommend the black/clear symmetry to a friend, hopefully the black silicone wouldn't yellow or become discolored after use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
