Wish i would have picked something else

i loved this dryer at first! loved the size and ease. we bought a set when we moved in our new house a littlle over a year and half ago. we replaced our heating element around christmas and it just went out again. honestly frustated its out of warranty and i don’t want to spend more money on parts to fix it. i used to love samsung. they just dont make appiances like they used to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked fine at first, but then..

we purchased this dryer about a year ago to replace an old dryer. we enjoyed the features of the dryer, but now after a year and, of course, outside of the warranty period, none of the button features work. we are now unable to change any of the drying times and the temperature settings. i am going to call for service eventually, but i already know that this will be a costly repair and will more than likely just replace it with a non-samsung item. i have used samsung products for years but now i think it's time to try other brands.

Cracked drum

we have had this dryer 19 months and the drum has cracked. a quick search online and you find out this is a common problem with samsung dryers. looking at the cracked you can see the metal used is paper thin and the rollers have cheap bushings. do not buy this dryer.

Happy mom = happy family!

after being married for 13 years and having 3 kids, we finally purchased a new washer & dryer. i was very hesitant to buy a washer without an agitator as well as one without the standard knob and no electronics on it. we've only had the set in the house for 12 hours and i love it already! it's big and quiet but (so far) is getting everything clean and dry with only being ran once. we live in the country so everything is always dirty...this set will definitely be put to the test with this family! so far though, this is one happy mom :)
set purchased: 5.2 cu ft activewash top load washer in blk stainless steel & 7.4 cu ft electric dryer in blk stainless steel
I would recommend this to a friend!

my 3 year old dryer has a crack with normal usage like many others have complained. out of warranty so samsung will not pay for the repair which is very expensive for me. in 3 years changing an expensive dryer is a complete waste of money. as many have the same issue with this model samsung should agree the mistake from their end.

Waste of money

as mentioned from my review on the samsung washer , we bought the washer and dryer thinking it would last for at least 5 years, its only been 3 years and since last year the washer started to get rusty and moldy. i thought samsung is a great brand as well as reliability wise but in reality its not, plain waste of money. i will never recommend and will never ever buy this brand again. the samsung dryer that was bought along with the washer just suddenly stopped working clothes were still wet and it wont turn on anymore. i had to buy a brand new and better dryer than samsung. never again!!! very poor performance!

apparently this dryer is cheap, even though it costs close to a grand. we bought the washer and dryer back in the end of 2018, and our dryer drum has a huge crack in it. it is tearing up our clothes, and the drum is expensive to replace. so we either spend the unneccesary money to replace the drum, or replace the whole thing together. i’m just baffled, i’ve never had a dryer that just randomly cracked. do not buy this item.
