We can understand your concern and want to help. On this model the Automatic Oven light (seen on control panel) will come on only when a cook time or delay time is programmed. It will remain on until the cook time is completed and/or the delay time has started. When not using the cook time or delay time feature, the oven light does not come on automatically.
