Stovetop Warning

I purchased a house a few months ago and this was the basic range that was installed. There is a red light (safety feature) on the top of the stove that comes on when the glass is hot. The light is supposed to turn off only after the stovetop is completely cool. Worked fine for about 2 months and now the light will go off and the stovetop will still be hot. I do not recommend this stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought a new house, this stove was the one they put in, my flat top (cooking surface) is already scratched up (FROM JUST EVERYDAY NORMAL COOKING). I owned a flat top range in my old home for 7+ years and NEVER HAD scratched on it.

First I should start out saying I am not a big fan of electric stoves. I believe gas is the way to go but the community I live in purchased all GE electric. Well it only took less than 5mths for my front burner to stop working. The other Con is you cannot place anything on top of your stove including the pan your using to cook without scratching and marking up the stove surface. Stay away from this product.
