Not happy

Decent printer and easy to set up for printing and wifi.
Having said that, I've been in IT he!! trying to get this thing to send scanned documents anywhere. Nothing works, the instructions are beyond convoluted, and customer service likes to send disjointed soundbites that are not even remotely cohesive enough to get you from the thing not working to it actually working.
I don't understand how you build and put a scanner to market that doesn't have the necessary software to actually just work properly.
Meanwhile, I have been told a bunch of times to use the installation cd. Since computers haven't been built with CD or DVD drives in like 5 years, not sure who they think they are selling these to, since the old folks with the ancient computers would never be able to get anywhere with this device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not user friendly at all!

Setting up basic functionality has taken hours, and the confusing Canon website doesn't make it easier at all. Here are just some of the major problems: 1. UI on the device is awful. Sends you in loops and entering lower case/digits for a password is very difficult. 2. Until recently, the Utility software didn't work on my Microsoft surface, it said it required Admin privileges even though I am an admin. 3. MF Scan utility doesn't work, even though I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. 4. Printer frequently displays an error message stating something like "IP Address has changed". In order to re-establish a connection, I have to disconnect it from my wifi, reconnect it to my wifi and deal with the awful text entry mentioned above, re install it on my computers and then hope it works.
DO NOT BUY THIS! CANON'S SETUP IS NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CONTACT SUPPORT TO SET UP BASIC FUNCTIONALITY!

Excellent quality and easy to use

I received this printer as part of a study group and I must say, I am so glad I did. We own 2 different businesses and do a lot of printing for it. So I was excited to try this printer out. The clarity in the prints is amazing and it prints extremely quickly which is a bonus when printing large quantities of papers. I was very impressed. The functions were easy to use and follow. We liked it so much, we are buying another one for our office. I highly recommend it. The only downside to this printer is that it only prints black and white. But for our purposes, that is fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes, it did work for a month. Now I have lots of problems; no conectivity , no scaning no printing...lots of frustrations. Spent 90min with a nice tech support to learn that is my computer problem (?!) I can not download and run driveers on my other laptop either.Bummer

I read several reviews before purchasing this model to replace an old HP that died. No where in any of the reviews or on the box did it indicate that the printer only printed in black and white. So disappointed that I can't make color copies.
