Great thermometer - not such a great app to go with it.

I received this thermometer free of charge in exchange for my honest review. Upon receipt of the Philips Thermometer, I installed 2 AAA batteries, and turned it on. Use is extremely simple, and AMAZINGLY fast! Push the power button to turn it on, and then hit it again to read the temperature. Temperature is read in the ear, and the device beeps to signal it`s ready. Temp displays immediately on the screen in clear, relatively large numerals.
The device is supposed to pair with the Philips Health app on my smartphone. I had some trouble getting the device to pair. Once paired, I tried to use it daily, just to chart my temp for fun. After a few days, it wasn`t showing on the app, and I removed the device from bluetooth pairing, and tried to start over. I have been unsuccessful at re-pairing the device to my phone. I am not new to the use of Bluetooth, so this was particularly frustrating. However, in the grand scheme of things, I have no use for tracking my temperature on a daily basis anyway, so I`m not sad at the inability to track my temperature on the app.
I`m a busy mom, and it`s been super handy the past few days to take temperatures of the kids when they are complaining of sore throats, etc. Makes it easier for me to distinguish an infection from seasonal allergy symptoms.
Pros: fast, large readout, aaa batteries -no expensive hard to find batteries
Cons: hard to pair with app

Easy to use

I love this thermometer! It came with AAA batteries that easily installed. The next step was to load the Philips Health App on my phone and connect through bluetooth. I am NOT very tech savvy and once I had the app loaded, I connected quickly and easily. The operation is super simple--put it in your ear and push one button. It only takes a few seconds, which I appreciate. My kids are older, now, but I can imagine this product would be excellent for families with younger kids who need to keep track of temperatures. I would have LOVED it, as a young mom.

Pros: quick readings, easy app/bluetooth connection

I really liked this a lot it was very easy to understand and use. It was the perfect size for me. It was very accurate and quick. The design is very nice and it is so easy to handle. The app was easy to use and it was so simple to download it to my smartphone. I always trust Philips products and will continue to use them. You will not be disappointed with this Thermometer.

I received the Philips Bluetooth thermometer for free to test and review. When I first got the thermometer, I had to download the Philips health ap so I could pair the phone with the product. This was a very easy process for someone who is not a tech savvy person and it only took me about two minutes. The thermometer itself seems to work well. It's easy to use, is accurate and works quickly. If you need to track your temperature then the ap will come in handy. If not, then I think it's a good and accurate thermometer to use when needed. I would recommend this product simply because of its speed and accuracy. I haven't had much luck in the past with digital thermometers because they would be dead every time I needed to use it, this one uses batteries so it should always be ready to use.
Pros: ease of use and fast results

A decent product.

This ear thermometer is part of Philips Connected App line of health products.
Good:
-I really like the ease of this thermometer. No more hoping your kid doesn’t open their mouth or talk and skew the results when trying to take their temperature. This device takes 2 seconds and just pops right in their ear—it really could not be easier.
-There is a red light indicator if the measured temperature is over 100.4 F.
-Syncs with the Philips App so you have a snapshot of all your health data.
-Even comes with the batteries.
Not so good:
-I wish it kept a history of temperature. As far as I can tell, the app only keeps your last one.
-I don’t know how this works if I want to take one of my kid’s temperatures. It seems like it automatically assumes it is my temperature and adds it to my health data.
-I also would like it if it not only showed a red alert light but also green and yellow depending on the recorded temperature. My kids often need to see the green light themselves to be convinced they are fine and able to go to school!
Overall, I do love that this is used in the ear and that it takes seconds. That being said I feel Philips needs to add more features and app benefits to make this one a winner.

Light weight and easy to use

I received the Philips Ear Thermometer for review. My initial thought about this device was that it's small, compact and super light. I found it very easy to use. It takes a temperature reading very quickly unlike other thermometers I've used in the past. I also downloaded the Philips Heathcare Suite app available in Google Play store. I love being able to store temperatues taken in the ap. This allows me to track my kids temperatures and also allows me to show this data to our physician should we ever need to. I would highly recommend this product.

Easy use. The app was easy to download, it gave step by step instructions, results were accurate and connect with the app immediately. I will say to double check to make sure your mobile phone is compatible with the app's service. After a few days of using it,there app no longer connected and I was informed it was because of my mobile device. Maybe in the need future, they will offer an opportunity to use with a tablet,laptop,etc. even if to manually enter in the results. Otherwise I give it a good rating.

works well, easy to use

I received a free sample of this product to test and review in exchange for my honest opinion. Overall, I like the thermometer very much. It is really simple to use and incredibly fast, which I feel would come in handy when trying to get a reading on a squirmy infant or toddler. It's a nice size and could be easily tucked away in a purse or diaper bag if necessary. The thermometer seems really sturdy, but I would have liked to see the bottom be flat, as opposed to rounded, to be able to stand it upright on the counter or in a medicine cabinet.
I had already downloaded the Philips HealthSuite App for several of their other compatible products. The app is simple to download, and the product paired with my phone quickly. The idea of being able to track an individuals temperature over a period of time is wonderful, but I feel like the app falls short. I don't see where you can track more than one person, or where there is any kind of graph that could be relayed to a doctor or caregiver. as far as I can tell it will only show the last two readings.
I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends, but I hope Philips expands their app.
