Great Ear Thermometer!

I received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review. Although I was told that the best thermometers were the oral ones, I found this one to work faster and better. I even compared my current one which takes my temperature orally and this one, got the same results. I love how I got my results in two seconds, lights up if your temperature is high, huge numbers which was perfect for those late night readings, and most importantly so easy to use. I didn't really care too much for the temperature tracking since my family or I don't use the thermometer that often only when we are sick, but I can see how that can come in handy for someone that is chronically ill and needs to keep track of their temperature. Overall, I'm super happy with my cool new thermometer with all its cool features!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Product!

This thermometer was an awesome product that I thoroughly enjoyed. Obviously, it is not often that someone is experiencing an elevated temperature but even with a "normal" temperature, I was impressed with the functionality. I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review. Nevertheless, I would easily pay for this product if I was ever in the market for a thermometer.
Pros: ease of use

Great digital ear thermometer!

I received a free Philips Connected Ear Thermometer to try and use in exchange for a review. I found the thermometer very easy to use and I like that it is a 2-second read, which is important when trying to take the temperature of a sick, but squirmy child. After the first use, it shows the last temperature taken when you turn it on and then is ready to use within a couple of seconds. It also has an auto shut-off after you take the temperature. The screen is backlit which is convenient if you are trying to use it in low-light conditions. I tried it on myself, a 7 yr old and a 4 yr old and had no problems fitting it in each ear to get a reading. It gave consistent readings after repeated tries so I believe it is fairly accurate. I have not had it long enough to know how long the batteries last, but it uses 2 standard AAA batteries so they are easily replaceable. The thermometer also has Bluetooth capability and can sync to a Philips Health app that you can download on your mobile device if you need to keep track of your temperature. I wish that the app had a way to track more than one person's health information though. I am more likely to use the thermometer on my kids than myself and it would be nice if I could have a record of their temperature history, especially if I am taking their temperatures repeatedly over the course of a few days. Overall, I like the Philips Digital Ear Thermometer very much and would definitely recommend it! I am very happy to have one!

I was lucky enough to get the Phillips Thermometer for free and couldn't be happier ! I have three kids and it is a simple device to find your temperature within seconds. It has been accurate every time. Simple to use and reliable..... Love it!

I received this thermometer in exchange for an honest review. I found the thermometer very easy to use. I love the tracking feature with the app. While, I didn`t really have a need for that while trying this out, it certainly would come in handy when I or a family member was sick. I highly recommend!!

Inconsistant results

With a five month old keeping us busy, we used this thermometer quite a bit when she caught a cold recently. The timing was good as we received this thermometer to sample for this review.
What we liked:
It`s easy to use and non-invasive.
It can link with the Phillips Health Suite app via blue tooth to track temps over time.

What we didn`t like:
The results are too inconsistent to be of use. From one ear to the other, or temps taken a minute apart, the thermometer would usually vary a degree or more. It also read our temperatures as being very low...like borderline hypothermia low. At one point I was 95.7 degrees Fahrenheit according to the thermometer.

What I`d like to see in the future:
This should have a rechargeable battery like the blood pressure cuff that also shares the same cord to charge. Instead, this thermometer uses two AAA batteries.

This Phillips Thermometer is awesome! Took it right out of the package turned it on and set it to Fahrenheit. It literally took less than a minute. It is easy to setup, easy use, and works perfectly. My family took turns using it and it worked flawlessly. Would recommend to anyone that is using the old glass Thermometer or digital one that goes in the mouth. We compared the them and got the same reading, but with a ease of use... there is no comparison. It is so easy that my 6 year daughter was taking everyone`s temp! Professionally designed just like the ones they use in the hospital. Like I said, awesome product!
Pros: super easy to use, medical grade product

I like this thermometer, but I don't love it. Pretty quick, simple and accurate temperature reading. If you have the Philips Health Suite health app - it says you can keep track of your readings by syncing it which is nice if you really need to track it - that part is not necessary for me and when I tried to do sync it, it worked then locked up a couple of times that I gave up. There is only one button to press on the thermometer - not complicated at all. My nine year old daughter can read her temperature on her own because it is so easy - which is helpful.The simplicity and ease of use is good but is lacking in tracking and other digital options.
