[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was searching around forever looking for the right ceiling fan and I bought this one a month ago and boy am I glad I did. It was super easy to install instructions were easy to follow and it looks good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first i was slightly intimidated when attempting to install this fan in my livingroom. however, instructions are descriptive enough to get me through the DIY installation. Impressed by the amount of air this fan can move, considering it only has 3 fan blades. Most fans have 4 blades. But this model is just as effecient as the other fans in my house that have 4 blades. I must say that, asthetically, this is the best fan i've owned.
I would recommend this to a friend!

already not working

I could never get the app to work! Very frustrating trying to get anywhere with the app especially when you spend so much money for a smart appliance for your home. Once installed due to power outage about 12 hours after install the fan no longer works and needs to be replaced and I even had and electrician look at the fan. On a good note the fan is very nice looking and for the short time it did work it pushed a lot of air.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent fan and LOVE the HomeKit feature!

Purchased and installed this fan last week. It was one of the easiest installs I've done. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The quietness of the fan makes it a joy to use.
The HomeKit feature was the primary reason to purchase it. Since we always have our iPhones nearby, it's a no-brainer to use them to control devices in our home.
I'd easily recommend this to others.

Poor quality all around

Fan blades do not match online photos - not even remotely. The fan itself does not work until HomeKit is setup. Stupid design. Home automation should be a nice extra, not a hard requirement. Very disappointed and will not buy from Hunter again.

Beautiful but!

Beautiful design, I love the industrial style.... But the main feature wich is the smart connect app doesn't work. Someone is fixing that? Most of the people (including me) is paying almost double of price than a regular fan just because of it, I guess we deserve an answer!

We recently released the new SimpleConnect 2.0 for iOS. We suggest deleting the old app and installing this new version if you are an apple user. We are currently working on an updated version for Android. However, we currently do not have an expected release date for this version. ~Kevin

Great fan, bad app

The fan is stylish and cools down a room better than the loud AC. People compliment how great it looks.
The app on the other hand needs help. I can log into hunterfan.com but can't ever log into SimpleConnect. I have two pending updates so I am unable to Siri or the Home app/
I would give it a five-star rating if the app worked. Debated a while about giving this fan a 3-star rating.
Oh well, a first-world problem.

Had this fan for 2 yrs barely connects to homekit

Just use the switch. Looks nice. Terrible connection to home kit. I have a 1 gig connection with a mesh WiFi network.
