Very Satisfied

We love the dual zones. Keeps the temperature steady fo for both Red and white wines. I also keep beverages from time to time at 40 degrees. Very quiet and looks great in the built in bar.
Pros: Adjustable Shelving, Attractive, Energy Efficient, Precise Temperature, Quiet

Great wine fridge for the casual collector/consumer

I had a previous NewAir wine fridge (21 bottle) that I was using for a while before I received this one. The AWR-290DB is a BIG step up from my previous wine fridge. PROS: The overall build quality is fantastic! The cedar shelves are far superior to the aluminum wire shelves in my previous model and it is much easier to fit bottles of different sizes next to each other. The humidity well is nice and both zones hold the temperature with no fluctuations. The unit is much quieter than my previous model AND, the best part, it locks so I can ensure that my small kids (or wife) can't get into my collection. Finally, from an aesthetics standpoint, it looks really nice! CONS: I saw that the zones were restricted in temperature range when I initially looked at this model online and didn't think much of it, but it did make a little difference when I was looking at which wines I was going to cellar in which zones. I ended up maxing out the temp in the top zone to get it closer to what I would normally cellar at, but it's not too far off and I would rather it be cooler than be warmer if I can't match the zones. Also, the instructions that came with the wine fridge really didn't describe how to assemble the parts that were inside. It would have been nice to have some more guidance but I was able to figure it out. CONCLUSION: This is a great little fridge! If you have a medium to large-sized collection, then you will probably need to buy a larger capacity model. However, if you have a small collection and want a space to chill the wine prior to consumption, then the NewAir AWR-290DB is a solid purchase.

Was really hoping for more than 2 years of life

Following flooding from Hurricane Harvey, we had to renovate our entire first floor. We had our NewAir AWR-290DB 2-zone wine cooler installed in May 2018 after the cabinetry and painting was done. A beautiful unit that is sleek. For the last several weeks, it has been making a buzzing sound, but 2 weeks ago, it seems the entire upper zone stopped working and stopped cooling our white wines while we were out of town for a week. When we came home, the upper zone temperature said 68 degrees even though we have always had it at 45. Unfortunately, at least 2 expensive bottles of white had turned and we are concerned the other bottles of white have been compromised as well. Thankfully the lower zone which holds the reds maintains at least 55. Really disappointed that one of the motors went out so soon and will call Newair on Monday. Will update the review after we touch base with customer service

Keeps my wine chilled to perfection!

New air’s 15” wine cooler was the final piece that was added to our newly renovated kitchen and I couldn’t be happier with it. Being that we love to host guests this was an absolute must. It holds all of our bottles of wine perfectly, 29 to be exact and keeps them chilled at the right temperature! We opted in getting a wine cooler for our home because we were tired of having our fridge packed with excessive drinks when we had friends over. It also comes equipped with wooden shelves and a blue led light that give it an extra touch of luxury! Highly recommend this product.

Good Marketing, Poor Function

I've owned it for 8 months and have repressed a review until now on the theory that I wanted to live with it in order to offer a fair review. It's got good and poor qualities, but for me the overall impact has been frustration. I've owned other very nice, quality wine fridges in the past which gives me the ability to compare. This unit has good style, reliable operation, nice features, quiet operation and cools two zones as advertised.
But its bottle capacity is misleading and is the primary source of my frustration. Bordeaux bottles are not the primary standard in the wine world. Anyone who drinks chardonnay, pinot noir, pino gris, Rhone wines, Shiraz, or any other non-bordeaux wine will be deeply disappointed. Those wines don't fit between the shelves and very significantly reduce the capacity of this unit. The marketing dept.has out slugged the engineering department for control over this unit and the customer suffers. Advertising a big capacity may bring in sales, but when the vast majority of owners cannot attain that capacity, then customer satisfaction disappears. I cannot recommend this unit. Beware.

Doesn't Hold 29 bottles

I must be missing something here. I can only get 15 bottles in the cooler and the shelves are not adjustable.

Compact and Stylish

The 15" NewAir wine fridge is my second NewAir wine fridge. Like my other wine fridge, this one is stylish and practical. It is compact and a great space saver. Instead of stacking two cases of wine on top of each other, this looks better and holds more bottles (29). It can fit under a counter or stand alone and you can choose if you want the door to open from the right or the left. I love the dual temperature zones so that I can store both red and white wines at their optimal temperatures. This wine fridge is perfect if have limited space.

So Many Things to Love!

I love so many things about this cooler that it's hard to narrow it down. My favorite thing is probably the dual temperature control, which lets me keep my reds and whites at the exact perfect temperature. The adjustable shelves make it easy to store wine, craft beer, or soda, so I'm ready to entertain for every single one of my friend's tastes. The design is super compact and sleek, it fits easily in my dining room next to my bar cart. It also would fit just as easily in my kitchen, as it's compact design fits right under the counter top. I also love the ability to lock the fridge so I can keep little hands out of adult beverages.
