Pick another oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as a package when we built our new house. Love the side door, but that's it. Cooks about 50 degrees hotter than it should. Convection is uneven. Anything cooked on lower racks burns. I have high quality cookware so I know it's not pans that are too light of weight.
It's pity because the other Bosch appliances are wonderful. Wish I had known this as I am a baker

Panel controls are too sensitive

We installed this oven under the Bosch induction cooktop. The oven itself operates properly, but the touch panel is so sensitive that it is activated with the slightest touch of a finger, or even clothes brushing against the panel with the slightest pressure. We find that the oven light is activated unintentionally and the oven, when in the baking mode, will shut off when walking too close. This model was recommended to us as an under mount to our cooktop. It should never be considered for anything other than a wall oven.

A Wall Oven That Works Great and Saves My Back

I am so pleased with how the oven works and the convenience of a control panel that is easy to use and meets our needs. Also, the overall ergonomic design of a side-opening door makes getting heavy pans in and out so much easier! We definitely made the best choice for an appliance.

Warning, do not mount under stovetop

There is a major design flaw with this oven if mounted under your cook top. The oven is great otherwise, but the control panel is too sensitive and while you are standing at the cook top you will turn off the oven, the light on, or switch cooking options without even knowing. Even the child proofing feature can, and does get turned off. I tried for 11 months to get used to it, and the second turkey that didn't get cooked on time at the holidays should have been enough. But when it switched from baking my cookies to a broil feature, I lost it and cried.

LOVE THIS OVEN!!!

I am enjoying the art of cooking again and remembering how much I use to enjoy being in the kitchen. Having a new oven that is easy to use, gorgeous, accurate, and an absolute pleasure to use has reminded me of how much I once enjoyed cooking.
My family is tired of eating out and they are thrilled as well! Eating at home has become the new norm and I plan to keep it that way! This is my first Bosch product and I love it! Thank you for making an oven that is smart and easy to use!

Incredible Bosch Oven!

Great but---

The closed oven broiling is fine for some cooking but the broiled chicken I have been making for over 30 years comes out with a weird texture. The delay cook for the oven overcooked a baked potato. I tried to see if I had used it improperly but the instructions consist of one sentence (because it is self-explanatory) and did not offer any help. I don't know if this oven is new for Bosch but there are kinks to be worked out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fabulous Oven - Love The side Opening Door
