LOVE THE SWING DOOR

Swing door model bought because of anticipated wheelchair user but they haven't moved in yet. Even so, I love the swing door myself, and the full extension rack. Controls are nicely intuitive.

WARNING: Great design but faulty electronics

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really liked the side opening door, which makes it much easier to access the oven. However, the touch panel is faulty - stopped working after just over a year. Others have had the same issue. Would be very careful about buying Bosch because of their apparent poor quality control.

Hasn't worked yet

I have had the oven for less than two months and it has now broken for a fouth time. It came with a non-working fan. Then the glass in the door had to be replaced. The clock has stopped keeping the correct time and now the oven shuts off within five seconds of being turned on. What is troubling is that I also have the left opening door oven and it so far has two of the same problems.

Under performing

Would give this a Zero star rating if we could. Been using this oven for 2 ½ years since completing our new house. Initially preheating took way too long, even in Fast Preheat mode. Had a service tech come out a month or two in. Some testing and adjustment was made but we experienced no real difference in preheat times. Over the past year, the oven has increasingly not gotten to set temperature or it does not keep to set temperature during use. We placed a stand alone thermometer in the oven to check temperature. Just now baking cookies, its set to 360 even though recipe calls for 350. Cookies have been in 35 minutes. Oven temperature hovering around 325.
The controls are much too sensitive to touch as the slightest inadvertent brush of the hand results in a beep and change. The controls also have no light so at times they are hard to read.
We would replace this oven if we could.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
