I haven't bought an Otterbox in a few years - the fit has sometimes not been perfect, or the rubber has stretched out quickly. This case (Pixel XL Commuter) is fantastic. Great fit, great look, I love it so far.

Bought this to protect my newly acquired Google Pixel XL and it does the job... However as far as design goes, the otter drops the ball. Your fingerprint scanner in the back has a raised circular opening in the case making it unenjoyable and difficult to swipe. The worst part of this case is the shutdown button on the side of your phone. They seem to have manufactured this button so tiny that it takes a tremendous amount of force to even click it. By no means am I a small person either. The volume buttons are built fine. The case itself is also slick(not the good kind) it has literally slipped out of my hands on a few occasions making it more prone to drops. I'm so disappointed in this case, plus.. no screen protector came with it like other commuter cases I have bought in the past have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for your feedback! We are sorry that this Commuter case is giving you some trouble. We certainly weren’t out to cause any slippery situations, but rather create a streamlined design with ease-of-use for clothing pockets, etc.
That is strange that the power button is being a bit stubborn and that the fingerprint scanner is being difficult. This is not at all typical and we definitely want to collect more information so that we can help out. I bought this case about a week after getting my hands on the Pixel XL. Let's get right into it.
Pros:
* Feels solid in the hands
* Thoroughly protects against bumps and drops
* Adds a nice amount of depth to the front, protecting the screen
