The Vitamix is built solid, works very well, and easy to clean. We use it every day for green smoothies, making oat flour, processing ingredients, etc. It is quite loud, more than I expected, but this is first time we have owned a high powered blender. Granted it's only for a couple minutes at a time, but still, I use hearing protection.
I bought this to make nut butter, and while it did grind the nuts into butter well, it was challenging to get out of the container, and I lost a lot. I then attempted carrot juice, but a similar problem in that all the pulp ended up stuck under the blades. I was able to add water and salvage some. So as of this point I haven't really found a good use for it. Am hoping to purchase the food processor bowl for making nut butter. It does have a powerful motor
