Disclosure - I received a sample of this product to review, but all views, and opinions here are my very own.
I've had this blender for about a month now, and I have used it almost everyday! I make insanely delicious fruit and veggies juices every morning and it works beautifully - I don't even strain it, because the pulp is so fine, that it doesn't bother me.
I made rice flour for recipes, that needed freshly ground rice flour, and it was an absolute pleasure - I won't be buying store bought rice flour ever again!
PLUS I even make crepe and waffle batter (multiple times)in this blender and I love that in 2 minutes I have crepe and waffle batter perfect for treats and breakfasts.
I made roasted butternut squash soup and it was the creamiest soup I have made with minimal effort. I honestly love it and can't wait for the smaller containers in the future!
Pros: Easy to clean, Quality, Easy to use, It's Many Uses, Product features, Power
I would recommend this to a friend!

Vitamix A2300 - New to Canada, new to me, and WOW
on January 13, 2017

First of all, let me say two things: One, I'm a professional food blogger and I was provided with this product by Vitamix in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own. Two, this is an AMAZING machine.
I've owned a cheapo blender for years and frankly I've always hated the thing. You can check off all of the usual blender pet-peeves: stuff un-blended, hard to clean, constantly needed to be opened up to push down un-blended food. Frankly I despised having to use it. So when Vitamix gave me a chance to try out this new series, I was pretty intrigued. This blender does absolutely everything I want it to, and it does away with all of those horrible blender bugbears.
Right out of the box, it's gorgeous and straightforward. Nothing fancy needed - you can start working with it almost immediately. I love that you just place the top portion on the machine and go - no need to twist/lock anything into place, so it's wonderful to use one-handed. Despite it's versatility, it's also really intuitive. I misplaced the manual for the better part of a day (I eagerly unpacked this with my kids, and it was hectic) but I didn't need any help figuring out the basics. On that note, I adore the simple, clean, and uncluttered appearance of this new A-series. The buttons and dial are clean and simple, and the digital display tells you how long you've been pulsing - a very nice touch.
Now let's move on to what it does. As you'd no doubt expect from Vitamix, it blends. Boy, does it blend. While I've already tried a few different things (more on that in a minute), I gave it the old smoothie-test. Rock-hard frozen nectarines and strawberries were absolutely no match for this thing. No stuff stuck at the top, no opening it up to push everything in. Even if you do need to push your ingredients down, you've got the awesome plastic plunger built into the top, so you can just keep right on blending. Not only did it turn my ingredients into a smoothie in no time, the end result was TRULY smooth. No matter what I did, my old cheapo blender could never really break down the little bits of food. Not the case with this blender. No little flecks of nectarine, no leftover chunks of spinach - just a perfectly smooth drink. My kids were smitten (and they've balked at previous veggie-containing smoothies in the past). If it wasn't already obvious that this thing packs a punch, I ran it at full speed while empty during the test/cleaning phase and I had to laugh; the blade spins so fast that it was literally blowing water droplets UP the sides of the blender.
But it's not just a smoothie machine. I like a good smoothie as much as the next guy, but there's no need to limit yourself. The variable speed control settings and the timer take a TON of guesswork out of whatever you're doing, letting you easily create achieve the texture you're looking for. I would imagine that the ability to detect various container sizes will also be amazing, but we'll have to wait and see when these come out a little later this year. I decided to really give this a tough test by making a spice/veggie puree for some Indian dishes. With a fairly minimal amount of added liquid, I was able to completely pulverize Indian gooseberries (amla), a VERY firm and fibrous fruit/veggie. After this, herbs, spices, and tomatoes were also easy to turn into a flavourful paste and base for a spicy South Indian soup. Again, we're not talking about a beverage or soup here; this was a fairly small amount of liquid, but the blender tackled it beautifully.
On to one of my favourite bits - this thing is ridiculously easy to clean. Throw some water in, pulse it, pour it out... you might have to wipe the sides down depending on what you're working with, but honestly, it's a breeze, and it's SAFE. The base is clean and uncluttered with a rubber mat top, making it easy to clean in case of spills too.
I will say this (and it's not a complaint) - it's pretty big. That shouldn't come as a surprise - you're not going to pack that power into a tiny blender. The base is about 7.5 inches wide, 11 inches long, and 8 inches high. It'll fit into a big drawer, or on a good-sized shelf. The container portion is about 10 inches high. If you've got the counter space for it though, I'd just be tempted to leave it out. You'll use it a lot, and I think it's gorgeous looking appliance.
At this point, I can't say that I have anything to complain about! If I was making a wish list, I'd ask for two things: one, I wish the lid was a teensy bit easier to snap on and off, especially one-handed. It attaches perfectly, but it tends to sort of softly click on and off, rather than really snap into place. That's a reallllllly minor point though, and it doesn't affect the performance in any way. Two, I would love it if it came with a nice wide, flexible-but-strong spatula (a really rubbery one would get impaled on the blades) specific to this container to help me scrape out less liquidy foods. But I'm being nit-picky really. It's an incredible blender.
Pros: Easy to clean, Precise Textures, Durability, Quality, Easy to use, It's Many Uses, Product features, Power

DREAM BLENDER!!! (tears of joy)

I am the smoothie queen. I've been making smoothies every since I could use a blender and have been dreaming of owning a vitamix for Y-E-A-R-S. (ask my room- mate + boyfriend..it's the only thing I talk about) I've made smoothies in multiple blenders and hands down this A2300 series has blew my mind AND been everything I wanted. If you love smoothies the way I do you know in all the stores they use a Vitamix (reason #1) to make acai bowls, soups, and smoothies. My biggest thing making the jump was the lifelong investment! The quality of this blender is top notch...I no longer have to use a chopstick to break up my ice on the bottoms of the smoothie. You know the blend...stop...mix with chopstick..then again and repeat? NO MORE OF THAT. This A2300 will do all the work for you and comes with the stick so you will never have to stop midway again!
The smoothie itself is nothing like I've ever tasted (from my previous blenders at home). It's exactly like the $9 smoothies I buy (I love in Los Angeles, it's ridiculous but hey! health is wealth).. you can't even taste the kale or the consistency of it...everything is smooth and delicious.
I feel empowered knowing I can throw things in my blender and know it does all the hard work for me. For examples...I love adding frozen bananas into my smoothies (amazing substitute for ice btw) and with my old blender I was always afraid of adding too many...with my vitamix it's a toss...switch..pour...and rinse.
ok let's talk clean up too. the way the body / container is made your fruits will wash right off! it's amazing how easy clean up is. a quick rinse and everything washes off!
IF YOU'VE EVER WANTED THE BLENDER OF YOUR DREAMS this year is your year. start with this one. it's change your life. it'll change your health.
I can't wait to make sauces + dips in my vitamix. Right now I'm obsessing over smoothie, smoothie bowls, and soups making my own almond milk.
the power, the quality, and the way it'll change the way you cook / make food for yourself is honestly priceless. I'm such a newbie in the kitchen but this my vitamix I can do anything and it's really fun to experiment!
Pros: Programability, Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Recipe Enhancement, Product features, Power

A Plant-Based Mom's Dream Machine

While unboxing this gorgeous machine, I was floored at how sturdy it is. The design seems to have a lot of thought put into it, from the rubber/slip grip material on the top to the seamless design of the container, it seems that every feature is intentional. I washed it right away (which was SO easy) I love how the instruction manual was available as soon as I opened the recipe book (which comes included by the way) with clear directions on how to get the blender set up for use. I was eager to try my first meal with it - I opted for a banana/mango ice cream. I threw in my frozen bananas, mangos and vanilla almond milk with coconut shreds and gave it a whirl. The Vitamix powerfully and seamlessly blended the ingredients into a smooth sorbet. I love having the digital timer to help guide me too - super handy! A bit later that day I also used the blender to make some oat flour I needed for a recipe and all I had to do was throw in the oats for around 10-15 seconds and that was that. My next venture is cashew milk and pasta sauce. I also have a raw cupcakes recipe I want to try out for my daughter's second birthday party. I just can't get over how versatile this machine is. I got rid of my old blender AND my food processor as the Vitamix does it all. As a plant-based family we make almost all of our food at home. I honestly don't ever see myself using any other blender in the years to come. I'm definitely sold. *I was sent this product for free in exchange for an honest review. The opinions above are my own.

SO EASY TO CREATE THE PERFECT BLEND!

My family has fallen in love with Vitamix. This blender is simple to use, looks sleek and stylish on my kitchen counter, and comes with a recipe book that has a ton of drool-worthy recipes and photos, along with step-by-step instructions and simple ingredients. One thing that I love about the Ascent 2300 is the digital timer that shows exactly how much time your recipe has been blending. This makes it easy to adjust my blend time and also replicate recipes. I also love the variable speed dial so that I can pulse or slowly blend when needed or crank it way up on other occasions. Once again, Vitamix has created a blender that is unparalleled in its ability to combine challenging ingredients into a velvety smooth mixture. I NEVER thought I could overcome the texture of a kale-filled smoothie until I discovered Vitamix blenders and now it's my daily favorite! We use our blender multiple times every day - it is fantastic. And, of course, you gotta love an appliance that cleans itself - that alone makes it worth the investment!
Discosure: I received this blender free of charge in exchange for my honest review - all opinions and text are strictly my own.
