It's not like what they claimed, after I made some fruit juice, just an orange and some spinach. I add half bottle of water and detergent, run it with max speed for 1 min following the instruction, the bottle is not cleaned at all!! I can't even rinse the residue. I have to use my hand to wipe the residue and it is really hard to reach every corner of the bottle.
I use this blender every single day to make smoothies for me and my daughter. There are never any chunks and we use kale and spinach and Chia seeds which have always left chunks with other blenders. I can't wait to try more recipes!
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Power
i had to purchase this myself vs being given one for my review so here it is from a true user. here are the things to keep in mind: it is VERY loud, if making a smoothie for one it doesn't do so well due to the low volume in a large container and the smaller containers aren't available yet, made ice cream following the directions and ended up with frosty sludge not ice cream, made soup and when using hot ingredients it was perfect using room temp ingredients had to heat it up in microwave. I do love how it fully chops everything into a nice texture. Not sure I love the overall price to performance but I have hopes for its greater versatility when the smaller containers come out.
I hate to call this a "Blender" because this machine is so much more than that! I have made smoothies, peanut butter, hummus, soup hot and cold. I had a two speed turbo Vitamix and decided to upgrade to this one and what a fantastic decision that was!
Pros: Programability, Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Recipe Enhancement, Product features, Power
I use my Vitamix at least once but often up to 4 times per day. So...heavy use.
It's not that I don't like the Ascent--I do. But, after owning the 5200 for 8 years this one didn't knock my socks off. I live alone so I often make smaller portions. The wide/stout canister isn't great for this. I have read other reviews about this problem but Vitamix said they had fixed it with the Ascent. Maybe it was fixed a little but not entirely. Once the accessories are available, I may like this better.
The buttons have also taken some getting used to. If you have never had a Vitamix before, you may have no problems. They still feel wrong to me after 4 weeks of heavy use.
Pros: Durability, Easy to use, Recipe Enhancement, Power
