I had an older model with the rubber lid that I purchased 6 years ago. It still works, but I wanted the upgrade because my 5 year warranty had ended. The lid that comes with the A2300 is much better and easier to clean. I absolutely love the new timer feature! It's still loud, but blends beautifully. Some things have to be that way in order to work effectively.
Very powerful blender. Sync’s well with the app (we tend to just manually control it, but good to know that feature is there). Nice design and streamlined interface. It is loud, but it is what it is - it gets the items blended silky smooth. Hope we never have to use the warranty but the coverage is unheard of for any electric product I have ever seen.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Power
I have used a Vitamix for a while and when I needed a second blender I knew that I wanted to get another Vitamix. I was unsure which model to choose, but selected the A2300 because it will work with a variety of containers such as blending bowls. It also has a pulse feature. I am happy with the A2300 and find that it does an excellent job, as expected. There are several features that I like. The regular pitcher container is large with a wide bottom, and it works well for blending large or small quantities. I have been able to make smoothies with fresh and frozen ingredients without needing to use the tamper. Pulse works well and can be set at any speed. The timer starts counting up when blending begins, and this allows me to follow Vitamix recipes more easily because I can see exactly how long I have been blending. The only issue I have had with this Vitamix is that it can be finicky. Initially it did not seem to be working properly, but I soon realized that there was nothing wrong with the machine; it just needed to be used a certain way in order to blend. The start button and pulse button need to be pressed firmly and abruptly, and will only work when the container is detected and the screen shows zeroes instead of a horizontal line. The machine has not always detected the regular pitcher container, but turning it off and then back on solved the problem. I had much difficulty getting the blender to recognize the blending bowls and was going to return them, but once I learned how to ensure they are detected I have not had any further trouble. First, I attach the blade to the blending bowl so it is barely tightened. Then I turn on the Vitamix and place the blending bowl on the base. Then I turn the blending bowl to tighten it further until the machine recognizes it. Overall I am happy with the A2300 and find that it performs as well as, or better than, my classic style Vitamix. I am glad that I chose this model and would recommend it, especially now that I have figured out how to get it to detect the containers consistently.
Love the power and what all it can do. Use it at least twice a day. 4 stars only due to the 64 ounce container. After reading a lot of comments, I purchased the 48 ounce container and it works much better than the 64 ounce. Other than that, I love my Viitamix and it has help me on my path to better health.
