Poor quality handle and plastic.

I bought this June 2024 to use first time for cruise to Alaska for sea/land tour. The handle was absolutely horrible. It would not come up unless I would open the suitcase and hit the inside to release whatever was inside making it stick. I did not have the suitcase full at all, I didn't even use the extender zipper the entire trip. The outside is so scuffed up it looks like it has been used for at least 5 years on multiple trips. I am a loyal Samsonite customer and do not recommend this suitcase at all. I was even afraid the wheels might break off, thankfully they are still in tact.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke on first usage

Broke on my first usage. A couple threads of the zipper broke off. I found out when I retrieved my luggage from baggage claim and found that it had opened up

I used to love Samonite luggages but these last two purchases were a disappointment. The spinner is locked without instruction how to unlock it.

WHEEL BROKE OFF ON FIRST USE

Used once. Wheel broke off. Bag was not overweight. Trying to navigate the warranty process is impossible. Purchased 12/10 for a flight 12/11.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a new suitcase for international travel. This one totally fit the bill. Used it as a carryon and as a checked bag. It held up superbly. And it is so easy to maneuver on trains, the underground and sidewalks. Most importantly I can fit two weeks worth of clothes in it.

This bag scratches very easily. I would not recommend it if you will be checking your bag as mine got scratches all over and looked like it has been used for a long time just after 1 use.

This is my second set of freeform-my old set are over 5 years old and still waxing strong.
These new purchases are not as durable- just one flight from San Diego to London and I have scratch and scuff marks.
The outer extender zipper - which I didn’t use is broken.
I have photographs to prove this. In fact I am in the process of filing a complaint !
