Great product, the only complaint is the handle doesn't stay in position on the lower settings.it stays for lowering but doesn't stay if you pick up on the handle. Ie pick up the suitcase to move over stairs etc

Meh- not very solid

Each time we’ve used our bags something fails. The zipper failed the first time, the second time a plastic piece ( I think the built in tag)came loose and we were unable to reattach. Seem to get very scratched up so, our new luggage looks worn, right out the gate. (No pun intended) . We have 3 of these but next go round we will likely look elsewhere since there doesn’t seem to be a good warranty for these kinds of defects.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the directions on opening the piece of luggage was missing a key point which was that you needed to push in the TSA lock in addition to the instructions provided with the luggage. Necessitated a call to customer service
