Not as good as its predecessor

I want my worn out J6710DW back. The J6935DW prints amazingly quick, and its ink usage seems far superior, but it is irritatingly complicated to use for copying and scanning. The menus are frustrating, and this version of Control Center 4 makes its formerly-simple scan-to-file setup unnecessarily complicated. The scanning hum is so loud it sounds like construction work is in progress. I don't dare start a scan and then make a phone call near it. The single-sheet feeder requires a two-handed approach to insert the paper, which is seldom picked up on the first try, and there seems to be no way to predict the orientation of the resulting copy; at least no way that can be easily remembered for the next time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replaced because my old HP printer finally quit working. I love this new all-in-one, and it was easy to setup and use from the start. Prints and scans faster than my HP ever did. Also replacement ink will not cost me a fortune. Excellent purchase for small business and home office use.

Great value and function

I've had Brother lazer for years and respect their efforts to keep the cost of printing relatively low and machines simple/reliable. I've shopped for a 11x17 printer for a while and assume it'll be high price, but this 6935 does the job and does not take away from the cost effective day-to-day printing. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Affordable Great Features

Brother MFC-J6935DW is an affordable "wide format all in one printer" that handles media as large as A3 . It not only prints A3, it SCANS A3. The running cost is low ( I bought the 2 year ink supply). The print speed is an added bonus. Overall, the combination of cost and performance is hard to beat. I love it.

Purchased the Brother J6535 because of the positive reviews. Could not get thru the set up process, tried all the suggestions from the website. Returned it to the store and ordered the J6530. Have not been pleased with the color quality. After spending over one hour on a duplex printing job that should have taken 15 minutes (paper jams at least every other page which clogged the print heads which required cleaning the print heads). Needless to say I will be returning this machine and give up on Brother all together.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could be better

Sometimes it is very difficult or impossible to use some of the regular features, i.e., large format printing (A4) is finicky at best, and occasional doubling of paper, especially when printing checks
