Terrible for multi user or low tech environment

I am very disappointed with this printer. It falls asleep and loses the wifi connection and cannot seem to wake itself up. If you turn off the printer and turn it back on again all is OK. Who wants to be doing this every few hours when the printer is in another location. The only good thing about this printer is it has great printer cartridges which print an amazing number of pages. This printer is good for printing and copying that's all. Your software team should be embarrassed by this product! How difficult could it be to sense the wifi is not connected and trigger a reconnect every minute or so until it connects?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Color rendition is poor

Satisfied with the printer with respect to efficiency, features, reliability, and overall cost. However, the color rendition is poor. For example, our logo, which includes a teal color prints properly on other inkjet printer brands in our office and also on our laser color printer. It is a faded blue color on the Brother MFC. Other colors suffer the same inaccurate interpretation.

Great Value

I took one star off because of the software. Realistically I would say 4.5 stars. This printer has great print quality. Other printers with the same features are more expensive. Primary focus to purchase a new printer was the features and cost per page to print. This printer has met my expectations. Scan quality is really good. I primarily us it to scan documents and college related projects. File size for saved PDF scans are much smaller than my previous printer. The setup up for connection for wireless to a laptop or PC is a little frustrating, but so was my last printer. It seems like printer manufacturers don't put enough emphasis on software development. Luckily I have a decent working knowledge of computers to eventually overcome the software shortfalls. I have to keep looking for workarounds to get full benefits of the printer. For instance, my last printer (HP) had the capability to preview a scanned image. Using a mouse, one could crop the area of the scan and then scan it. There was no need to edit the final product. To achieve this in Adobe, I had to select "Native Mode". This was necessary because the original software only worked on Windows XP. The manufacturer did not adapt software to Windows 8 and above. There are products like VueScan that does this, but it has to be purchased separately. Even with the software shortfalls, I really like this printer. It is way overkill for what I need, but it is perfect for what I wanted.

Has ALL the features I needed

I've had my Brother MFC-J6935DW for about a month. So far I am very pleased with it. It is fast! It is quiet. I do a lot with ledger sized paper and all features work well. I like it much more than the Brother J4710DW that I used previously. Well worth the money!

Disappointed

I have been completely unable to get my new MFC-J6935DW to keep its connection to my wifi. It connects and prints when I first turn it on - but if it is not in constant use it goes offline within 15 minutes or less. I also cannot get it to use the MP Tray. Very disappointing.

Great Printer, I like it!

I do like the printer. The color is not as good as my Brother Color Laser Printer. It is a bit flat and dull but my laser doesn't print and scan 11x17 and that is why I bought this printer and that works very well and it is quite peppy. It zips out prints faster than any inkjet I have worked with. It churns for a few seconds and then squirts the print out. No wig-wag of the print head like the older inkjets. I sure would like to see how it does that. I would buy this printer again. The best thing I like about Brother printers is the high quality of the printer and the low cost of supplies. The savings really add up over a year.
