Great multi function printer

This is a great multi function printer for home use. We still need faxing capabilities and use the document feeder to fax and scan quickly. The print quality is good. My only small quibble is that photo printing quality is only fair. But it isn’t touted as a photo printer- so we’re ok with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great home office printer

I like that I can load all 3 paper types at once and not have to keep changing paper in the drawers. The back feeder holds 11 x 17 sheets and the extension keeps them from falling over and folding. It prints fast and very clear. It can print 50 pages in no time. The color is very clear and does not overrun. I also like that I can scan and copy 11 x 17 sheets either through the feeder or on the flatbed. I am very pleased.

fast printing

I love the large format printing. Prints pretty fast for black and standard color. Fine color takes a bit longer. Easy to set up and operate. Ink seems to be lasting way better than my last printer.
The only problem I've had is when printing from a picture the printer doesn't pick up green tones correctly. I had to greatly adjust the color of my image in order to correct the green. Then it changed the other colors in the picture wrong. So I had to use two different prints for my reference.

Problems went away

Had problems when I first got it as it would only work intermittently. It actually seemed as if I would open and close the paper tray and it would work, even if I was using the MP tray.
Because my wife had phone problems, I replaced my router. Nothing changed. Approximately one month ago my cable company came in installed a new modem as the one I had was outdated. I never had a computer problem, but since that was done the printer works flawlessly. It makes no sense to me, other than replacing the router, so I wouldn't suggest trying to solve a problem by replacing the modem, but that did seem to do the trick for me, even though I don't believe the modem has anything to do with it.

Wonderfully surprised

I replaced my HP OfficeJet that went belly up. The old printer would make all sorts of noises for 5 minutes before finally printing a document, and it usually turned out badly.
My new Brother printer is fast, quiet and feature packed. I love it. I can’t comment on ink usage, but so far this printer has been a great upgrade. The scanner works great, too.

Great product. Versatile and it works well. Only negative is the print speed aggravates our office personnel at times. If there was a way to speed it up, it would be perfect.
