I have had many printers over the 32 years in the business but this one rates close to the worst. All the issues seem to be with the software. When I print on both sides. for instance, with four pages, page four comes behind page one and three comes behind two. I have tried every combination on the menus and nothing changes. The default printing order is the opposite of what it should be since I don't know too many folks that want to start reading from the last page. The scan to file only allows the file to be horizontal instead of vertical with no option to change it. The machine goes to sleep and won't wake up unless the power button is pressed. The paper pick up pulls multiple sheets no matter how much I fan the paper. I had a 7020 printer that I wore out and loved but this one needs some serious help.

One glaring omission

I really wanted to love this machine after being an HP user for many many years. Unfortunately, due to the machines inability to feed legal sized paper in portrait mode, it can't print 3 to a page laser checks other than a full sheet at the time. How could they overlook something so basic?

Very good printer but has a major flaw

This printer was very easy to set up and is very quick to print with great features, but one very important feature that I can not get an answer for or to figure out is how to print a single check without issues.

Too early to tell

I have not used my printer enough to give a review. I am still learning about the features. I do like how it prints double sided, printing both sides at the same time. I think it is loud during printing but it is also quick to complete a job. Please ask me again for a review in 6 months.

Nice but wireless is problematic on a Mac

I bought this printer because I wanted a fast, duplex, color printer. It is good in that regard. However, it CONTINUES to drop off my wireless network and sometimes is missing-in-action when I attempt to use it in wireless mode from my Mac. The printer simply falls asleep. If that happens, sometimes I can get it running by walking down the hall and pressing the home button; in my case I must then go back to my desktop to delete the old job, issue a new print and walk back again. I just spent 2 hours attempting to ensure printer firmware is updated and that I have the latest driver. I guess I must call Brother Tech Support (AGAIN) tomorrow. Maybe this product is good for a Windows machine in wireless mode; when it works in wireless mode on the Mac it is great and it does copy well, so I gave it 3 stars in view of the times that it does work to my satisfaction, but I''m having much trouble getting it to work on my network reliably. Because I bought it for wireless printing (not FAX or copying), and one associated with a Mac, its performance in wireless mode is a downer.

Disappointed that my new printer stopped working after 3 months of purchase. It stopped ejecting ink in some of the colors. Replaced with a refurbished printer. When printing both sides, When I go to print on the second side, it pulls multiple pages through which messes up the printing. Also when printing multiple pages, when the pages eject, they are not organized and at times some of the pages fold and curl.
