Bosch Speed Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bosch provided an awesome solution for me!! I wanted a double oven, however my space only allowed a microwave over a single oven, that is until I found the Bosch Speed oven! This oven is a combination microwave and oven with broiler too! I love it! I get the best of both all in one appliance, so now I get my double oven and still a microwave too! Kudos to Bosch!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked great until it died... twice

We are now on our second microwave (same model) in 3 years. It died 3 months ago and we are still waiting on a back-ordered part. ...in the meantime we still have no microwave. If we are super lucky we can run it for about 2 min a day before it completely dies. I gotta say, not having a microwave, a mother-in law staying with us, a toddle and being pregnant is really is less than ideal. Before it died (twice) we loved it. The convection oven was awesome until it died. I don't know if we will ever buy another Bosch after this terrible experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointment

We were so excited when we finally were able to replace our 30 year old kitchen appliances in 2015. We thought we had done our homework researching the quality and adaptability into our existing kitchen choosing Bosch appliances. We bought a Bosch dishwasher, built-in oven, microwave/convection oven and cooktop. Shortly after the warranty expired, the problems started with this microwave/connection oven. Over the next 5 years, the display panel went, the door electronic switch quit, the turntable switch quit. It seems like every couple of months something causes this microwave and convection oven to quit. It feels like we have replaced just about every part of this oven. Lucky for us that we have a friend whom we have called every time this thing quits & he comes over, takes it apart, orders the reolacement part & gets it fixed once again. We are so disappointed with the quality of this machine, especially given the price tag on it. From reading other reviews, it appears we have experienced similar problems to others.

Just after the warranty expired, challenges began

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We loved this oven when we got it, especially the ability to have one device for microwave and a second oven. We use it regularly.
However literally just after the warranty expired, problems began. It was sparking when it was on, and began burning. My husband did some research on the internet and found out it was likely the waveguard cover (which the repair line could not offer any possible explanation to). We ordered annother waveguard cover in the fall, replaced it and it was fine for another 3 months. Then today, while heating my lunch, it completely stopped working, no lights on the display and again a burning smell. My husband has opened the top access panel and found that the terminal on the thermostat was arcing and was completely burnt(see photo). It's a great oven when it's working. But if you don't have a handy person in the family who can diagnose and repair items with parts ordered online, I don't recommend this one! He's now welding something...fingers crossed he is succesful. And hopefully it doesn't burn the house down!

A Microwave to truly believe in!

It is beautiful, roomy, and the Sensor Reheat button is such a gift! I simply place my leftover dish inside, press Sensor Reheat and know I will have a perfectly reheated dish! The design is sleek and sophisticated.

Short Life Expectancy for an Expensive Product

We purchased the microwave 11/2018 and it died 6/2020 - only 1 year and 7 months later! Really?????
During its brief lifespan, the microwave worked very well, but there is room for some definite design improvements. The door opens top to bottom and the microwave is very deep. It was extremely awkward to clean and at times to use. The panel light was barely visible and the alert tones way too subtle. My Bosche oven opens from the side - an amazingly convenient option and the panel light is much brighter (the alert tones are still too subtle though).
