So Far So Good, but could use some tweaks

So far I really like this oven. The things I like most are the varied choices of cooking methods - Convection, Broil, Microwave, Sensor Cook, and combinations of these including SpeedChef which is a combination of microwave and conventional cooking automated program. The things I wish were better, the broil and convection broil are not stopped with a timer setting. So, if you don't hear the timer, the oven keeps on cooking for up to 99 minutes making it very easy to burn things. We try to use our own timer on our watches or phones to be sure we hear it and keeps reminding us to go get the food out. It would be nice if these functions could be timed like the regular microwave cooking. Also, I wish there were more automated programs for the SpeedChef and more modes for the "More Modes" function. But all in all it's a pretty nice oven. We like that we can cook toast in this oven. As long as we set our own timer to get it out on time! Thank you!!

Looks nice but the fuse keeps blowing!

Display lighting and buzzer sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the reputation of this company, this is the poorest in quality when it comes to alerting you when you item is completed. Even on the highest setting, per the instructions, there is no sound, just the fact that the oven has turned off. And the lighting for the display is very dim and almost unreadable from any sort of distance. Again, this has been set to the highest level that BOSCH allows. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND this product for anyone - just based on those two items alone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super oven/microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This multi-mode oven does so many things and does them well. We used sensor cook for fish that were perfect. The broil feature is handy for warming tuna melt sandwiches. The list goes on and on. Great design and great features.

800 Speed Oven

Great speed oven without rewiring the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my old Wolfe stove, hood and microwave a year ago with Miele stove, hood, and blower. I liked the idea of a speed oven, but almost all of them require a 240 V connection. This is one of the few that would work with my 120V/20A outlet and breaker. I was VERY hesitant after reading all the negative reviews here. The saleswoman at my local appliance store agreed that the reviews were terrible, but she had sold a number of these in our area with no complaints. So I went ahead and purchased.
I have been VERY pleased with the versatility and efficiency of the Bosch speed oven. It roasts a chicken perfectly in 42 minutes, and it looks and tastes better than any chicken I've ever roasted in a regular oven (clean up tip - tuck a big sheet of parchment paper around the chicken and under the dish to keep interior clean).
I wanted to add a positive review as I suspect the satisfied customers aren't bothering, so you end up with a distorted view of the product. I'm sure the negative reviewers have had some problems, but their comments are so far removed from my experience with Bosch that I was a bit skeptical that they could be typical. FWIW
