At first glance, my 3 year-old niece, who is very princess-oriented, wasn't very interested in this. But soon she was making diagnosises and giving shots like nobody's business. At that age, it helps to get a "go to the doctor" book to accompany it. But once you get going, shots for days.

I am obtaining my DNP and my granddaughter loves to play with my tools (stethoscope, otoscope, thermometer, etc.). We purchased this for Christmas and she loves being just like Mimi! The coat is easy for her to put on and take off with the Velcro buttons, the tools fit easily in the pockets, the embroidery was done nicely and worth the extra few bucks, and the ID badge makes her feel "official" (the badge protector & lanyard are not included). Some of the toys were good, some just hollow plastic like the otoscope don't expect for them to last long after frequent use and dropping. I did add the Fisher Price medical kit to have the BP cuff but the M&D stethoscope is definitely sturdier and more realistic with the heartbeat sounds. Obviously the hope is she'll follow in my footsteps but if not it still encourages imaginative play and fosters empathy and compassion.
