My two toddlers love their tool bench and it's very well made on the whole, but unfortunately much like the other reviews, the vice broke within a couple of supervised play sessions. As others have said, the wooden pin holding the handle on seems to have snapped. It sounds like a weak point. Am hoping a replacement part is available but we're in the UK and it was a gift so no idea where it was purchased from.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Kids Love It, Assemble was a Pain

Our kids have been building for a couple days now and love it! Unfortunately 75% of the parts to build the table did not line up correctly and I had to jump around to different steps to get everything to actually connect (still have some gaps and a screw that won't go in all the way) The bolts also only actual thread into a couple of the block holes which makes getting snug builds difficult and even pieces fall right out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased for my 4 yo granddaughter. She asked for a work bench from Santa. She loves it. Her father, my son, put it together. Comes with instructions to put together and a model instruction book that shows how to construct 6 different models. Great quality workmanship and beach can be used as a desk for other projects. Time will tell

Great workbench! Ignore reviews complaining about assembly

This is an adorable little work bench and was simple to assemble with clear instructions. Reviewers complaining about assembly must not know the rule to never fully tighten screws until you are all done. Yes, you may need to adjust the legs a bit when adding other supports, but that is normal and to be expected. It took me about 30 minutes to fully assemble (though I did use an impact driver instead of the tiny included allen wrenches). I highly recommend this toy, my son is going to love this when we give it to him on his birthday. Excellent quality, sturdy and will last a long time.
