This producr because of it's size and ability to open is great for multipule children. I would like to see the draw bridge knob redesigned as it is difficult for little fingers especially because it can reverse if tension is not continuesly applied. I would also of liked the king and queen plus thrown and bed offered in the lesser model to of been included or at least offered as an option in this model
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Entertaining, Fun, Great Value, Interactive, Realistic
Cons: Draw bidge knob difficult, No figures included
I would recommend this to a friend!

Received this as gift from grandparents. My 3y old likes it. Fun idea for creative play, but there are build quality issues Had similar problem where main wall broke off at the base within first day of normal play. I was expecting this wood toy to be much more sturdy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My four year old received this as a birthday gift two weeks ago. Ever since, the castle has been the most played with toy everyday. It has not been moved from the play room in the time, however, the joints have come apart. My kid refers to it as a broken castle now, and she is very gentle with all her toys. I really liked it, but 2 weeks is a very short time for this castle to fall apart. Could you advise as to how this can be fixed?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My daughter's birthday was 2 months ago and she was given the medieval folding castle from her cousins. While it has been played with and is in decent shape, one of the pieces has broken off and is now no where to be found. My daughter LOVES the castle, but I'm concerned that the edges where the piece broke off could cut her or give slivers, so unfortunately we've had to take it away from her. I tried emailing Melissa and Doug for a remedy for this issue and didn't hear back from them. :/ Would love to give a 5 star rating as this otherwise seems very solid and sturdy, but only giving 3 as it did break and I didn't get a response.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've already purchased a pink castle from a different company to give to my 3-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. This is to be a companion castle for a prince, wicked queen, or whatever story she creates, and it will be for her younger brother when he's old enough to play with her. It's a nice looking castle and folds closed, but it still takes up a good bit of space when it's folded. I noticed that one of the balconies is not glued on one side and will probably fall off. I'm going to reinforce all of the joints with extra wood glue before it's played with. This castle should be fun to play with with the draw bridge, dungeon for the evil characters, and the trap door (trap door doesn't lay completely flat and doesn't lock in place). The main problem with it for us is that our Papo princess. prince, and other figures are too tall to fit through most of the doors. I purchased the M and D fold-and-go castle first which is sturdy, folds compactly, and comes with some furniture and figures. It's small and the rooms are small, but the Papo figures fit because it has open walls instead of doors. I decided to get the larger one to have more space, but when I saw that our figures didn't fit the doors and the large amount of storage space required, I changed my mind. I decided to keep the fold- and-go one and to get a castle building block set so that the children could add on to it. Unfortunately the USPS shipping cost to send the large one back is over $50.00, so I guess I'm keeping it, too. We'll have a medieval village! (If in doubt, buy with free return option!)
