Open Up a Whole New(Old) World!

I am "saving" this lovely creation for the day when I have grandchildren who are old enough to use it carefully. In the interim, it holds a place of honor on top of my upright piano, lit with LED string lights and electric candles (they glow beautifully behind the crenellations when tucked in below eye level. I set it on a bed of faux "snow" and included some Christmas themed items during the holidays and now have just miniature trees and realistic, quality resin medieval figures in the battlements along with the lights. It looks spectacular at night when all the other lights in the room are off or very low. People are transfixed when they enter the room and see this glowing display. It is the next best thing to a Time Machine and I will probably have to purchase a 2nd one for the grandchildren when the time comes as I love this one too much to do without it. Thanks for the Magic!
Pros: Authentically Decorated, Beautifully crafted, Easy to fold and unfold, Fun for adults too, Lovely As Decor Object, Many Play Configurations, Very flexible
Cons: Drawbridge Fits Oddly

I got this for my 5yr old brother last Christmas. A castle was his main request. He loves it. He plays with it nearly everyday, and the knights and such he already had (some playmobil and lego) fit really well. It occupys his attention well if he's playing alone, and it's good for when he has company. From another side, I worked at a toy store that carried a lot of Melissa and Doug stuff. Their stuff is just awesome. We had both the princess castle and medieval castle, and could barely keep them on the shelves! Parents loved them!
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Entertaining, Fun, Great Value

Both of my boys (ages 5 & 6)are autistic. This is great for modeling and teaching them creative play! Also, when I brought it home, I was excited to show my husband that we now had a "man's dollhouse" from which to practice imaginative play! Awesome!
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Fun, Great Value, Interactive

As a mother of four this is the best toy I have ever bought. My son received it as a gift when he was three years old. He enjoyed using it with knight and dragons. When he out grew it my three daughters used it with there polly pocket princes and it became a princes castle. The castle is now ten years old and by far the most played with toy we have ever owned
Pros: Can Withstand Use, Educational, Entertaining, Fun

Purchased this product for a 16-month year-old grandson. Appears as represented on website; well made. Versatile; grandson uses knights, zoo animals, farm animals. He is fascinated with the different levels in the castle and the drawbridge; keeps his attention for long periods. The price reflects the quality of the product. Grandson has other Melissa and Doug toys and enjoys them as well. i would buy this and other Melissa and Doug products.

My 4 yo son got this for Christmas. He loves playing pretend dragons and knights. He also puts other superheroes in it and imagines its the Batcave. The wood seems high quality, but wouldn't recommend for kids who'd be super rough with it. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that other Melissa and Doug castles I saw included furniture and figurines. This one did not.

I love this castle and so do my children. It does not require assembly so it is ready for play. It has a working drawbridge and also a dungeon with a sliding door. It is made well and is great for imaginitive play.
Pros: Durable, Entertaining, Fun, Great Value, Realistic
