Same issue as everyone: it breaks in 2 years

I bought a condo in Summer 2020, and came with this built-in microbe by Bosch that was manufactured in November 2018. I had a warranty on this that lasted 18 months, and in month 12, the diode burned out and had to get that replaced. Now, in month 19 right after the warranty expired, the magnetron has completely burned out and no longer heats anything despite still powering on. Folks, its truly a horrible product, you will get no longevity out of this, like the others are saying. Now having to do extra Christmas shopping to find a new, expensive built-in microwave that will hopefully work much better than these Bosch products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible prodcut

Seems to be a consistent theme here: product just quits working after a few years. Probably the only microwave oven I've ever owned (at all price points) that just died and stopped operating. Very dissapointed.

Dim Display Bosch 27” Microwave Oven HMB57152UC/05

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, we had a Bosch 500 Series 27” Microwave Single Wall Oven, Model No. HMB57152UC/05 (drop-down door), professionally installed along with two convection wall ovens and a gas cooktop, all Bosch brand appliances. We took note of a very dim clock display. It is now Saturday, January 18, and the display is barely visible at 6 feet, even on the “hi” brightness setting as the default. In the few days we’ve had to troubleshoot the issue, it appears the clock display resumes its set level when the oven is in operation and then defaults to dim, bordering on barely illuminated after about a half-hour of non-use. None of the displays on the other two Bosch appliances lose their intensity or come close to being this dim. FD No. 9909 123716, Manufactured in September 2019 in Shunde, China.

Don't buy this microwave. It broke 14 months after purchase. Warranty expired. I see by other reviews I am not the only buyer to experience this.

Built-in Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with our other Bosch appliances, this unit just oozes quality. It feels solid. The sensor touch buttons are easy to use and easy to clean. This unit does a great job of cooking or reheating. We love it!

Problem with front panel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon installatiin we discovered a problem with the lighting on the front panel. I notified Bosch and they advised me to contact one of their repair companies in my area. Bosch had them order the replacement part and I had it scheduled for service. The repair was done and the unit works so far.

Excellent Professional Microwave

I also like that the door drops down. It has been a great product for us and out performs other microwaves we've had in the past. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful functionality!

In addition to its very attractive glass and stainless steel design, it has lots of features that make meal preparation much easier. I use it to soften butter or cream cheese when baking, to defrost the meat (that I usually forget to pull out of the freezer), and it pops a perfect bag of popcorn.
It's roomy and easy to clean, as well. Love it!
