Worst Microwave

This is the worst mircowave I have ever owned. Every few months something breaks on this thing. First was the magnetron, then it was the door switch, then it was the tray motor. I will not be fixing the tray motor and instead will be looking at something other than bosch to replace this pile. Good luck all.

We have been so happy with all our bosch appliances but unfortunately we have been displeased and quite frankly upset about our microwave at only 1 year of use, sparking flames while warming up oatmeal. The flames literally burnt a whole on the top of a metal plate inside microwave. It was scary. The metal panel was replaced a month ago. Today the bosch microwave made a sudden loud popping sound only 5 seconds into warming up a tortilla. Upsetting. 1 year in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Engineering

After using MW for a couple of months I called for service on it to fix dim lit clock and low volume timer. Service tech showed up and replaced circuit board on gas stove which was having the same issues. However did not make any changes on MW because he said "this is how it was engineered". The dim light on clock and sleep mode were not disclosed at purchase and it something we deal with. But the low volume on the timer is ridiculous. If there is any noise in the kitchen, the timer ending sound can not be heard and there are times no sound is heard. The adjustments for sound and brightness do not change levels. Tech made it sound as if this was a known problem or design flaw and again, never disclosed to us a purchase. Truely disappointed with this product. If I could, I would replace it in a heartbeat!

Cannot recommend this product.we purchased a newly built house in 2022,and now we have the second issue with an appliance.This time we have a microwave oven with no display. High dollar unit three years old.Not happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave suffers from what many other fail to do ... backlit buttons. Are the Bosch folks never up after sunset ? Otherwise it's fine. Too many buttons/features I'll never use. Overpriced Buttons not suitable for diabetics. I guess I won't win the prize??

Nice looking but.....

I am not surprised by your decision not to put my review on your website. Having said that, I am disappointed. I do lots of reviews, as I and most consumers rely on them. I am always honest and fair when I post a review, and I was when I did the review on my Bosch microwave. We are getting ready to do another kitchen renovation, but we will not be buying Bosch appliances.
I will be calling Bosch tomorrow regarding the dimness of the display. Hopefully I get a more helpful representative than I did when I called the last time, when I told her about the plastic wheels warping again. I wasn't being fascicious; she really had no interest in what I had to say. For my records I have taken a picture of this.
I will be putting a review on Yelp, as I think it's only fair that the consumer has the right to know. Your products aren't cheap! I believe "you get what you pay for." That's why I bought Bosch; I guess I was mistaken.
I put this as a review because the email I sent did not work for some reason.

When we built our home 2 1/2 years ago we chose Bosch appliances for our kitchen because it was a higher end brand and had high hopes for its performance. Unfortunately just after 2 1/2 years the hinges on this built in microwave convection oven broke and the warranty is only good for one year. Also it is extremely difficult to clean because of the heating element at the top of the oven. I wish it was removable because food splatters get stuck up there and it is extremely difficult to clean in between the heating element and the top of the microwave.
