[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a lifetime of owning countertop microwaves and using others' vent hood microwaves, THIS is nice. It is more like a legit appliance rather than a countertop appliance like a toaster or toaster oven. It seems very solid.
I love that it exhausts cooking steam during cooking and for a bit of time after it stops. At first I thought the fan sound was the microwave still cooking, since the bell signaling the end of cooking is very, very quiet, but it is removing steam from the interior of the appliance...no more steamy microwave.
One important thing to consider...the door opens like an oven, hinging at the bottom, so think that through if you are mounting it above a built in oven like I did. It's a bit high and I'm a bit short so I have to stand to the side of the open door to put dishes in or take them out...I can't reach over the door and into the microwave from in front of it. It's a bit awkward.
Overall I love it and the first time my SIL used it he said "That microwave isn't joking around!" He's right. It's dead serious.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Adequate for what I need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an apartment so I obviously don't get to choose my appliances, but this product was installed in place of a separate microwave and oven. I was nervous at first, but I don't really cook/bake much so this is fine for what I need.
Here's why I'm writing this review: When I switch from using the rack vs the plate, it shouldn't be a two-handed job to remove the rack and find where to set it. It's just four hooks holding the rack so I have to bend down and lift the whole rack before pulling it out. This could've EASILY been made simpler by just doing a tiny suspension rail along the sides so I could slide out the rack - like how you move the racks in every other oven...
It sounds like such a small thing to complain about, but when you have to do it constantly because it's my microwave and my oven, it becomes quite irritating.

Bosch Built-in Microwave

Bought all Bosch appliances with our new build last summer for the quality. The microwave functions fine, but I have 2 big complaints.
1) The door should have a side hinge option - it's too hard to get foods in and out above the stove witht he door opening the way it does. It really is a safety issue.
2) The dimming issue drives me nuts. Doesn't matter if you set it to bright, it dims within 30 minutes later. Have had the control panel replaced - made no difference. Was told it's supposed to go to sleep and then wake up when you open the door or press a button - wrong - that doesn't work. The above issues are even more of a problem for my elderly mother-in-law who lives with us. Would not have bought this model had I known what I know now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We don't do much cooking in our microwave and use it primarily for reheating. Definitely have to put items in for more time and at a higher power to achieve desired results. The display is very dim when not being used. You cannot even see the clock unless you are standing directly in front of it. I had read this before I bought the microwave, but it is disappointing nevertheless.
