Steaming microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is an excellent microwave. The only suggestion I have is that it is so deep that I cannot reach the back of the microwave. My husband has to clean it....come to think of it is that not so bad?

Love this microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure if my previous review actually went through, so trying again here. This is my first Bosch microwave oven and it's great. Cooks evenly, easy to use functions display, easy to wipe clean. And no ear-piercing repetitive beeps when cooking is done. Just a gentle pleasant 'deedle-eep' when finished. Much nicer!

Disappointed with Standard Features

It heats and cooks as expected.
The 'Done' ding volume is much too soft. (The High and Low volume settings are about the same, too low). In addition, the fan contiues to run after the microwave completes and 'dings'. Consequently, it is hard to tell it has stopped.
The microwave is above the Bosch oven, and its' door is hinged on the bottom. So, it is difficult to reach the back of the microwave for cleaning.
Considering the variety of microwaves available this Bosch has poorly implemented standard features, a diappointment.

Fuse Keeps Burning Out

The fuse where the microwave connects to the oven has burned out twice since we have had this microwave (less than 3 years). It is very complicated to change out the fuse. You have to pull the microwave completely out and then replace the fuse in the oven, then reconnect the microwave then slide the unit back in. I appreciate that the problem is inexpensive but I think there is a flaw when a microwave fuse has burned out this often.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mediocre performer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is disappointing given the price for the following reasons:
1. The display panel is almost invisible even at the brightest setting. When contacted support, we were told that it was designed so to conseve power.
2. There are a lot of spots in the heating compartment where microwave coverage is not there. Food does not heat evenly through out the compartment, inspite of the turntable.
3. Worst problem of all for this built in model is that the door opens down and comes between the user and the oven. It is hard to reach inside the oven to place dishes or for cleaning. The problem could have been easily avoided if the door swung open to either left or right (or reversible).
