Advanced Features seem like a gimmick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the microwave is fine but a lot of the advanced features seem like gimmicks and don't really work. For example, the "sensor reheat" will make the cheese on your piece of pizza boil. Not exactly the ideal temperature to eat if you like to keep your taste buds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bosch Built-in Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is high quality and operates well. The touch pad is easy to understand. Our microwave is installed above the countertop relatively high: the controls are difficult to reach for shorter persons. Having controls on one side instead of above the door would improve this.

Control Panel

Control Panel was replaced due to low visibility. The image is better, but is still very light in comparision to the image displayed on the Bosch Built-in Oven that is located right below the Bosch Microwave. The Microwave functions on cooking levels, but I have had on 3 occasions bright red bars under the time appear during cooking. Once cooking ceases the bars can be seen as dark images for a few hours and then fade. I had repair in again, but repair tech could not get the Microwave to recreate the issue. I showed technician a picture of the bars after the end of the cooking cycle. He said it was hard to see the bars at the time he was viewing. For this review, I toned down the graphic levels so for better viewing. I did not think to do that while tech was here. He said he would note issue in case the issue became frequent. He said the unit was functioning for now and we agreed that if it continued and was frequent that I would contact Bosch.

Best Microwave I’ve had!

I love the microwave, but the panel characters are very dim and barely visible except for right after I run the microwave. Apparently this is a known panel defect but they are still selling/shipping customers microwaves with the defective panel. Disappointing for a Bosch product.

Good microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my microwave. The glass revolving tray could be better designed. The roller base is always off center and glass comes out of grooves easily. Also because of the placement of the door, it is difficult to clean if mounted above oven. Otherwise excellent equipment.
